Subhasha Summer Cottage

This has been a long overdue review
I visited this place back in April, during one of the driest and hottest summers. Terrible decision really.
The only good time me and my family had here was spent in this place which was an absolute haven! The host was really nice, and very supportive, tending to our every need, even when it was not very convenient for him.
The cottage has a small, yet good enough kitchen, with all the amenities needed for preparing meals. The location is surrounded with lush greenery, and local fruits. The bathrooms and rooms were really clean. They were spacious and well air conditioned as well.
The prices are very, very reasonable as well. The host will prepare meals if needed, but we cooked ourselved, so I couldn't tell you anything about food.
There is a beautiful beach with a lot of restaurants which you could use for meals within a short walk.
Whenever we visit Tangalle again, this would be our go to place!

Cozy, large accommodation with a warm host. A short walk to the sea, unfortunately not much was open at the time. Then you are a bit remote. Large room ideal for families.

Our stay with our two teenage boys was fantastic. The garden and on site facilities were superb. Subhasha cottage was spacious, had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable place to stay. We come back sure. Thank you Isuru.

This place was fantastic! With a beautiful garden, super comfortable rooms and just a few minutes away from the beach it was ideal for our holiday. The family hosted was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so good! An excellent place for a beach getaway.

Highly recommended for those who looking for calm and quite vacation with freedom and enjoyment.

As a Sri Lankan, when I came to Lanka after many years and stayed in such a free environment, the freedom you feel is indescribable. The tranquility of the environment is very precious. Words cannot say. I request you to come to this place without fail when you get the chance. Isuru is a person full of character. A wonderful place to stay - we loved the heritage style house and the decor was beautiful. The best bathroom! Great hospitality and delicious breakfast and dinner - served with smiles. I can certainly recommend a stay here.

We had a great time staying here. What we didn't realize beforehand is that there are two rooms with large beds, so this is great for a family as well as solo travelers or couples. As others have said, having the kitchen was a nice plus. Overall, there was a lot of space and Isuru was a very kind and generous host. We especially liked how clean and newly done the bathroom was. The food provided everyday was great and he was always there to answer any questions and help us. Highly recommend!

A wonderful place to stay. Clean and tastefully decorated 2 bedrooms, kitchen and a livingroom in the middle of a garden. Short walk to a great beach. The host Isuru is great and makes sure there is everything you need while respecting your privacy. The home cooked meals from his mother are the best! We will be back for sure!

Absolutely fabulous stay. Our host Isuru was so helpful. Excellent location. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Short walk to the beach. Everything was just perfect. We could have stayed here for the whole time we were in Sri Lanka. Really sad to leave.
