The Surfer Surf Camps Sri Lanka Surf and Yoga Camp Weligama

Very good hostel with amazing rooftop and I met many nice people here. The surf lessons depended on the instructor but were good overall. I surfed at an intermediate level and after two lessons at the beach they took us out to reefbreaks. Sometimes I felt the waves were a bit too difficult for our level and they put people to higher levels of surfing too quickly.

I stayed here for over a week and had an amazing time! The rooms are extremely clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food was always delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and we had a lot of fun surfing! I highly recommend it. "

Must say that I wasn't expecting such a good experience and such a nice social vibes from everyone.
Also need to say the room, bed, are really comfy.

I had low expectations about dinner because it's "included", but they were always really good and more than enough!

If I must make a critic to improve the surf camp, I would only say to improve maybe the breakfast, better bread, better coffee but this is coming from a French guy, so take it with a grain of salt:).

Most important: As an intermediate when I started, I did feel that I improved with my surfing skills and guidance from the surf coachs.

If it was not the end of the season, would have probably extended my stay, but will definitely be back for more great memories!

I stayed in this camp for 8 days and it was above my expectations. The instructors and the staff so friendly & the food was amazing. Also they take you to different spot for surfing. The only comments i have it and for improvement the AC need to be checked in the private room.

Wer direkt am Meer, jeden Tag zweimal surfen, coole Leute und eine schöne Location haben möchte ist hier genau richtig. Für den Preis absolut perfekt.

I had the best time ever in this surfcamp!
It was definitely one of my favorite places In Sri Lanka!
The service is extremely nice, the whole staff is super helpful and especially the surf instructers are really professional and the always give you the right advices to improve your surfing and for a good progress!
So if you want to have a good time, good surf sessions and nice people you should definitely come here.
I will be back next year

Had an amazing week's experience here, definitely a place to come back to. The team were awesome, super friendly and welcoming and put great effort in organising social events every night - easy to make friends here as a solo traveller as most of the guests were solo too! I learnt so much as a first time surfer in just a week, they focus on getting the basics right and building up a good foundation, and I really appreciated their helpful feedback every time. Thanks guys!

Do yourself a favor and stay here! My experience was amazing. The instructors are really dedicated and passionate to teach you how to surf. The camp itself has a very welcoming relax vibe. On a almost daily basis they will organize events after the surfing/yoga sessions so you will never be bored. From bonfire, bar hopping, quiz nights, boat trips etc. Of course you can always opt out and relax or do something on your own. But I definitely enjoyed meeting new cool people from all around the world from all age groups. It felt like being part of 1 big team there from first time surfers to more advanced. The rooms are clean. Food is good. Staff is friendly. The location great. Just perfect.

A had the most amazing stay at The Surfer camp in Weligama. The staff is very welcoming and service minded, the surf instructors are very professional and the atmosphere at the camp is really nice. I can highly recommend this surf camp to everyone who would like to improve their surf skills, have a great time and meet a lot of awesome people:)

We were spending a nice week in this camp. Delicious breakfasts, pleasant and attentive surf instructors, spacious rooms and fun evenings. It was our first experience of surfing. And everything was cool.

I’ve stayed at the surfer 3 times now and each time is amazing. The team put so much effort into organising different things for the guests. The surf instructors are great, super supportive and help all levels of surfers. Would recommend a visit to anyone in Sri Lanka who is looking for a try at surfing or to just meet some fun new friends!

Had the best time here at The Surfer! The staff and the owner were the nicest people ever. I booked for 4 weeks and I found it to be a bit too long, so I would recommend going for 2/3 weeks if you really want to become better in surfing! If you just want to come here for fun and for meeting new people, 1 week would be enough for you!
The surfing lessons were amazing and the instructors really gave personal feedback which was great for improving your skills!
Would definitely recommend coming here!
