Peaceful and very relaxing stay at Ubuntu Beach Villas, we stayed in the Ocean Superior, very spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good. Perfect stay.

Top-notch. In addition to the beautiful rooms, excellent food, and clean facilities, the staff at Ubuntu earn the highest praise. Hasitha ensures smooth operations and seems to appear precisely when hoped for with an answer, a solution or simply a friendly conversation. G. G. Didula’s smiling service is unmatched. I cannot say enough about these two accommodating gentlemen.

The beach is gorgeous, but the surf is too rough for swimming in front of the hotel. It’s a fair trade for iconic turtle hatches directly in front of the hotel; we magically happened upon a hatch in the middle of the day! There are some small protected bathing areas further down the beach in either direction. Head to Mirissa Beach if you’d like to really swim, surf, shop, and stroll. There are two pools directly in front of the dining and lounging areas which are well maintained and inviting.

The rooms are ample, with high ceilings, sliding glass doors to the sea, twice-daily turn-down service, hot/cold showers, A/C, fridge, comfy seats and lots of open space. The hotel is very quiet and the resident beach dogs common to all such vacation spots are uncommonly sweet.

Ubuntu has several associated boutique hotels along the beach, and the food service (except for breakfast) comes from down the road. The food is fantastic, and of course the service is great.

This part of Sri Lanka is special because it relatively quiet, clean, and extremely beautiful. Ubuntu is the perfect place to stay on the southern coast.

Sea view is perfect. We can see baby turtles and many experiences. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Their service is good.
Foods are good but need more Verieties and flavors.

We were there for almost two weeks and the location is really awesome. You will get very clean an beautiful beach in front, two swimming pools, very good and comfy room with AC, TV, Hotwater etc. Their service is a also really good. Very friendly people and a frindly service also you will get good breakfast for their rates. It was a nice expernice. There also a higher chance to see sea turtules come to beach to lay eggs at nights.

The rooms as well as the whole area (restaurant, pool area & beach) nice and clean. The breakfast is awesome.

As Mirissa itself did not really impress us, the location is perfect for a peaceful break after either having visited the northern touristic sites or spent some time at the more populated beaches in Welingama and further west.

This is especially made possible by the awesome, sweet and kind staff this place has - this cannot be overstated.

The Villa is located in a in superb location, and all the rooms were perfectly maintained. The Service given by the Villa Staff was Exceptional. We all enjoyed the stay at the Villa. I Would recommend this Villa & the service provided by them to anyone looking to have a super time.

We had 3 really nice nights here, views are very nice and the room was kept well and sometimes cleaned twice a day. Not far from Mirrisa Beach (not walking distance). The staff were great, special mention to Saranga, who did so much for us during our stay.

We had the opportunity to spend 4 nights in this beautiful place. The ocean view in the room was amazing. You can hear the waves the whole night.
A small swimming pool, ideal to relax and to get some fresh after spending your time sunbathing.
The breakfast was really great! You have at least 2 very good restaurant next door. And of course the hotel can arrange a touk-touk for you, on demand.

A beautiful place with an amazing view and a nice beach. Perfect to relax especially with a group of people. The rooms and utilities are new and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Food tasted good but not much of a variety. A place we'd definitely recommend to anyone.

Not the service we were expecting considering the price. We couldn’t access the room before 4.30pm. There is no attention to details and staff should be more present.
However the room with Ocean View is beautiful and well designed. We really liked it despite that there is no balcony. The villa itself is superb and you feel home. Breakfast was great.
Note that we couldn’t bath in the ocean because of huge rocks on the beach and in the water.
Overall we felt good and we liked our stay but the staff can do much better!

Very nice and new hotel with beautiful, clean rooms and bathrooms with every comfort. The villas in front of the beach are a perfect and calm place to relax. They have a well maintained garden and two clean pools, a big open and cozy living room and a nice dining room. The sea in front is deep blue and clean. The staff is amazing and always helpful! The restaurant in walking distance along the beach offers delicious food, prices are moderate. Breakfast is various, healthy and delicious. Dinner is offered till 11pm including room service. Highly recommended!

Paid a premium price for little value. There is better food along the beach for a fraction of the price. The breakfast is lacklustre too. If you do stay here, the pool and beachside chills are excellent but spend the extra money for an ocean view room. Garden view villas offer no privacy

We stayed in Ubuntu's private villa (the ocean-view room). Upon arriving we received great service (welcome drink and cold towels). The room was beautiful - clean - stylish - the shower had great water pressure and hot water. We were given pool towels and beach towels. The pool was beautiful and clean, and being so close to the beach was awesome too. A delicious breakfast was included. We ordered room service and the food was very yummy. After checking out, they offered to let us stay and continue to use the pool / shower facilities if we wanted. If you want a secluded, restful couple of days - don't miss this beautiful hotel / location. While the location is maybe 10 minutes to Mirissa proper, the secluded beach and the accommodations were completely worth it.

There is not a single thing I can critisize: from the beginning till the end we simply loved this hotel. Staff was extremely nice, attentive and caring. We arrived very late and they were so kind to arrange a complimentary snack on our room. Breakfast was incredible, nespresso coffee, best juices and a wide range of breakfasts to choose from. The resortis extremly well kept and we received a complimentary massage. Snacks for lunch were good. All in all, the best hotel we have been to in Sri Lanka and I hope the owners keep going with this high standard!
