Elephant Trail

We had a lovely stay at the elephant trail. The location is perfect. And we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff members. Especially Chalani's exceptionally sweet and personal service was very pleasant for us. Since we were traveling with a small child, it was extra nice that she was able to accommodate our needs.

We recently stayed at Elephant Trail and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment throughout our stay.

The staff at Elephant Trail deserves special recognition for their exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel at home.

For those seeking a for nice hotel experience in close proximity to the National Park, we wholeheartedly recommend Elephant Trail. While close to nature, it is important to note that some insects may be present. However, this should not deter anyone from experiencing the charm that Elephant Trail has to offer.

I spent one night at the Elephant trail hotel because I came for a photo safari at Udawalawe park. The welcome was very pleasant, the staff was very attentive to my needs and my preferences for the choice of the dinner menu at the restaurant (choice between Sri Lankan or international menu). Bicycles and scooters are available to customers who wish them. The hotel is very close to the park and the hotel had prepared my breakfast so that I could have it at the park because I left the hotel before the opening time of the restaurant. Dinner at the restaurant (Sri Lankan menu) was excellent and plentiful. Everything was done to give me complete satisfaction. The hotel manager is very attentive to his customers, especially their safety. I went for a walk at nightfall. He was kind enough to come pick me up on a scooter so I wouldn't come home alone in the middle of the night. The room was very large and comfortable. There is a fridge in the room and a kettle to prepare tea or coffee. I really enjoyed my stay. I was able to reuse my room upon returning from the safari even though I had vacated at 6 a.m. Mid-morning. I recommend this establishment. I would have happily stayed there longer.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in Udawalawe. Everyone was very accommodating and provided great service. Clean, quiet and spacious rooms. Also, a great location, close to Udawalawe National Park and the Elephant Transit Home.

Anodaya was amazing, helpful. The hotel managers should update their bookings on the system, they tried to charged me twice for a room that was already book. So watch out

Staff we very helpful. Specially thebreceptionist Anodaya. Waiters were always with a smile.plzm address the issue of insects. I am aware that the sugarcane platataion is just behind the hotel.will always recommend this to a friend or family

Spacious room with all the basic amenities you need. The staff were polite and organised a Tuk-Tuk to take us to the Elephant Transit, as well as a private safari. The food was nice, and priced fairly.

There are only two downsides to our trip: the amount of ants and insects was out of control (more so than any other of our multiple hotels in Sri Lanka) and we sometimes felt like having dinner was an inconvenience.

It was a good hotel to stay with reasonable price near to the elephant park. I really loved the cleaned room and bathroom. The food was okay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Can recommend this hotel to stay in udawalawe

Really nice hotel, just a few minutes drive from the park entrance. Rooms are big, spotlessly clean and a perfectly equipped bathroom. Staff is very friendly, efficiënt and helpful. But guys, please go easy on the prices of beverages. What you're asking for a small bottle of water or juice is too much.

Looks good on photo.but
Room had bugs, bad a/c, food was not very impressive, pool was dirty, didnt get room cleaned and they forgot to give us our packed breakfast before heading to a safari at 5am. We weren't impressed
