We rode to Michael's place on our bicycle, and didn't realise the road would be so steep! But it was worth it, the location is superb and extremely tranquil.

Michael is a superb host and a very good cook. We have eaten hundreds of meals in Sri Lanka and the food here is outstanding. Definitely worth visiting:)

Absolutely wonderful location, surrounded by jungles and mountains. Several hikes possible in the area, one leading to a viewpoint near the property. The manager will be happy to take you there through the jungle that starts right at the property.
The guesthouse is in a very quiet location, very serene atmosphere. You'll be surrounded by birds, butterflies, and monkeys.
You'll need a tuk tuk to get to town if you don't particularly like long walks.
The rooms are basic, no A/C but a fan will do as the nights are reasonably cool enough to sleep with the windows open. Unfortunately, there is no mosquito net around the bed, or screens on the windows. No hot water in the bathroom, but considering the temperatures, the water is never really cold. There is also no key to lock your door when you leave, You'll have to trust the on-site manager to watch over your room. You can lock the door from inside for the night.
The super friendly manager will offer delicious Sri Lankan dinners and breakfasts for a very reasonable price. He lives at the guesthouse and is always ready to help.
We had booked for a night, but we loved the place so much that we extended our stay with 1 night.

This place has very good views and clam place. Any one can stay in relax with enjoying the beauty of the nature. Friendly owner and nice hospitality. Recommended for who wants to stay in relax.

Michael is a really nice guy even with just a night there he was showing us around and preparing some really tasty and reasonable priced food. We will come back to do some hiking in the area in a few weeks! Room was really clean and especially the food is a must do.

A good place to relax and enjoy some quiet and peace. The caretaker is very helpful and friendly and his food is delicious. Clean rooms and bathrooms.

Super nice place in the middle of the dense Jungle. The host was very friendly and cooked delicious meals. It was a little awkward to be photographed so many times but we were always asked first.
The room was clean and comfortable and the locals in the area were very nice.

Good place, stayed for 2 nights with 8 people. Friendly owner, reasonable price, provided breakfast. Environment is extremely good. 6-8 minutes to the town.
Entrance is bit difficult for a Honda Fit (hopefully this will be sorted)

Owner is a very friendly person (dog also) and safe and beautiful place to stay for a weekend. Great service for a reasonable price (Food is also very tasty)
