Chandra MapWise Rides Best Guide & Tours Nuwara Eliya

Chandra is the best guy in nuwara eliya! We went on a tea and waterfall tour and learnd so much! He is very kind and funny and he knows a lot about the tea, the history and the culture. He helped us also to get the train to ella! We were really glad we've met him!

Best man in Nuwara Eliya. An extremely helpful, cheerful, funny man who speaks English very well. He knows a lot about Nuwara Elyia and about tea and its production. We had a very great trip with Chandra. Visited tea plantations, several waterfalls and a tea factory. Chandra also showed us a great place to eat cheaply and locally and gave us tips for the train ride to Ella.

We took a wonderful TukTuk tour of the tea plantations with Chandra, he explained everything to us about planting and harvesting the tea leaves. Afterwards we visited a tea factory followed by tea tasting. Then we went on to great waterfalls where we could stay as long as we wanted. We 100% recommend tours with Chandra! He is a very courteous and competent guide.

Very very good and calm tour guide in Nuwara Eliya area. We drove me around this area and to the airport after. He is super experienced and basically a super nice man! Can fully recommend him

We had an amazing morning trip with Chandra after meeting him at the train station the day before. He drove us around in the most beautiful tuktuk we’ve seen and is able to explain a lot about the area. He’s a very good driver and an even better guide! Our experience with Mr Chandra was beyond our expectations. When trying to finding a cab to our hotel at the train station in NE he showed up - we thought he was like any other taxi driver.

We were so wrong. As many other mentions he immediately start showing us around Nuwara Eliya. We was very satisfied with our ride to our hotel so we actually started to ask him for everything we wanted to do around the "tea country" and if he was available he showed up, if not he arranged a ride for us.

We were on tea plantation trips and on a safari in Udawalawe National Park with him and our then 2 year old girl loved him and he could easily walk around with her while we explored the tea plantations/factories.

We decided this year to go back to Sri Lanka dec 22nd - jan 12th and visit places we did not have time to last time, and of course with Chandra.

And to be honest - Chandra is a huge reason of why we wanted to go back to Sri Lanka. This time as a 4 piece family.

He is the best tour/guide/driver you can have in Sri Lanka

Chandra accompanied us around Nuwara Eliya in a very professional way, showing us different tea plantations, secret viewpoints, all the must see spots in the city and explaining lots of Interesting stuff. We recommend him 100%!

Altough we only had one afternoon to spend in Nuwara Eliya we couldn't have spend it any better than with the enthusiastic guidance from Chandra. Born and raised in the area he knows a lot about the history, biology and people of the area. He seems to know everyone and every place and was the best guide we've had in Sri Lanka. His English is perfect and he showed us some beautiful hidden places and plants during the 5 hour tour. Would definitely recommend!

The first guide we find here who truly works with his heart. He know a lot about Nuwara Eliya and it was a pleasure to listen to his stories. We had to take a short tour because we didn't have much time in this area, but he managed to show us beautiful spots with his tuk tuk! Heartily recommended by us as well.

By far the best driver/guide we’ve had here. Speaks very good English and gives lots of extra information about local life, tea manufacturing and Sri Lanka in general. Showed us some insanely beautiful places and stopped a few times to let us taste local fruits and vegetables. An honest and reliable person.
Best part: when we were taking the train to Ella he helped us getting a seat in the non-reserved part (if you see that mayhem you know what that’s worth).
