Dover Cottage

Dover cottage is situated at a picturesque location. The service we received from Pushparaj and Yoga was exceptional, eapecially the foos. The cottage is situated in front of Pedro tea estate. We had relaxing morning and evening walks through tea plants.

This was a really really unique experience.a small lively cozy house cottage which serves excellent food.really really adore the 2 hosts. Pushpraj and yoga, their hospitality was really really beautiful and they themselves were 2 amazing people. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COTTAGE TO ANYONE who has visited nuwara eliya, srilanka.

Very welcoming hosts who add charm to the house. On the roof you are entitled to an incredible view and a nice little billiards table to occupy your evening when the weather is less beautiful. Being in a rainy period the room was very damp and cold.

We had a great time at Dover Cottage. We felt like we were at home, in a very British setting. The staff takes great care, and we learned a lot about the region! The meals were very good. Thank you for your welcome!

The Location is very private and overlooks the tea estates. The Rooms were very spacious and nicely done, The Care takes Pushpa Raj and Yogi are really amazing at what they do as they make you feel like home and They try to cater to your every need, All in all we had an amazing time and would recommend Dover to anyone.

Dover cottage was one of the best trips I have taken in Sri Lanka. The cottage sits at a hilltop which gives a very nice view day or night of the tea estates and mountains. Very short distance away from the town, Dover cottage is the spot to book to be away from the crowd. The real heart and soul of the house is Pushparaj and Yogi. This duo goes above and beyond in making everyone feel like family with their warm smiles, delicious tea, amazing food and flexibility. The cottage is perfect for either small or large groups. Will definitely visit again and recommend this spot to everyone visiting the area.

The Dover Cottage in itself is a beautiful place but the hospitality puts it over the top. The amount of rooms, beds and washrooms perfectly fit our large group.
The way the home is laid out and furnished gives the place a warm and welcoming feel. Very quiet area and overlooks the famous Sri Lankan tea leaves. I found myself constantly on the rooftop patio enjoying the views.
From the second we drove into the lot until the very second we left, Pushparaj and Yogi treated our group with the upmost respect and always catered our needs. Even the most simplest asks, they would go above and beyond in ways we cannot thank them enough for. I definitely recommend the Dover Cottage to anyone visiting Sri Lanka and those who already live there and want to explore Nuwara Eliya, it is by far one of the best experiences I’ve had.

My family had a wonderful experience at Dover Cottage. Staff were delightful and eager to help. They all went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The food was amazing. High quality rooms. Property was clean and had a fantastic old time charm. Great amenities & central location.
Breath-taking views towards Pidurutalagala & the Tea Estates to the rear of the property. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya.

Awesome place to spend a day with a scenic view. Good for family. Humble caretakers, down to the earth. Could spend any number of days. Walkways to surrounding tea estates.

Absolutely stunning. Probably has the best views in the whole area & well away from the hustle & bustle. Walks in the Pedro Estate along the crystal clear creek are a good way to relax & unwind. The hosts are ever so helpful. A hidden gem indeed.
