Gartmore Tea Estate reviews
7Very good experience with beautiful environment with out any pollution.
Beautiful view and excellent location. The chef and assistant were excellent and always very obliging and prepared all meals to our pallet.
The bungalow is quite run down and not maintained well. One toilet was not functioning at all and the other had a leak.
The access road needs attention.
The towels need to be of better quality and in uniformity.
The refrigerator needs immediate replacement.
None of the plug points in the rooms were working.
A sit out table for having tea and relaxing is a suggestion.
Gartmore Tea Estate offers a delightful experience, with the added bonus of Gartmore Falls to admire (I have a separate review about the Gartmore Falls). The estate's location requires private transportation, but it's well worth it for the breathtaking views it offers. Enjoy the serene surroundings and take in the beauty of the tea gardens.
Nice place with greenish mountaintops covered with mist.
Cool breeze. Nice upper gartmore fall bathing natural pool
One of the largest tea estates in Sri Lanka. Most scenic views from the lake side. Not to be outdone by man made structures, the natural surroundings of Gartmore estate shares its bounty with every guest. From exotic flora to occasional wildlife, you will be able to walk along the roads and trails to discover many hidden treasures.
Breath taking environment. Estate has built couple of view points to watch the waterfalls cascading to Maskeliya resevoir just below the estate.
Super views.
Gartmore Tea Estate should be one of the most spectacular places in Sri Lanka as it has got the most amazing sights.
Apart from few places (soon those will be repaired) road up to the estate was good enough. Then you have to park the vehicle and walk into the estate. There are two or three view points for people to sightsee.
You can see the Gartmore falls flowing down directly to the Maussakele Reservoir. There is a path leading near to the bottom of the waterfall too.
