Old world charm at its best. One of a kind experience next to a very ugly monster of a hotel.

Best place in heart of nuwara eliya good food and friendly staff (pradeep) highly recommended.must visit

4400 for 100ml of local brandy. 1500+ for 4-5 pieces of hot battered cuttlefish topped with lot of vegetables. Rediculously expensive local alcohol, with rediculously small portions of food. Staff is hardly around.

Me and my wife had hardly 1 day exposure at Glendower in Nuwara Eliya and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the friendliest welcome by Mr Millan & lady named Madona and the rest of the staff.

The property is so beautiful and has a very superb location that Nuwara Eliya is famous for.

Thank you to Ms Madona who really helped me out in arranging some hotel in Knady city at eleventh hr using her own contacts ultimately life become easier for me. Millan is such kind hearted man and the entire staff for making our stay at Hotel Glendower was a wonderful experience. We truly enjoyed our time there and look forward to returning soon. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for upcoming days shahid

I have just checked out of the Hotel Glendower in Nuwara Eliya and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the friendliest welcome by Sam and the rest of the staff. They were more than happy to engage us in conversation about rugby and the surrounding area, which made us feel right at home.

The property itself is beautiful and has a very quaint appeal, reminiscent of an old English pub. The hotel is styled in this way too, making it very authentic and a true representation of the old world charm that Nuwara Eliya is famous for.

Although the hotel will soon undergo renovations, I hope that they don't take away from this charm. While a few areas of the hotel could do with an update, such as the bathrooms, the overall atmosphere and experience more than make up for it.

Thank you to Sam and the entire staff for making our stay at Hotel Glendower such a wonderful one. We truly enjoyed our time there and look forward to returning soon. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and charming stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Hotel Glendower is ideally located in the middle of two of another excellent hotels, The Grand and Araliya Green Hills, as we were being in the both before and wanted a quite atmosphere, we chose this hotel and this little place did not dissapoint us at all.excellent hotel with very quite environment, a nice garden and a good bar.the staff was very professional and helpful and the food too was good.if you plan to stay peacefully in the heart of Nuwara Eliya for a longer period, this is the place you must try.the rates too are reasonable comparing to what it offers. We'll for sure visit back again to this wonderful hotel.

Glendower Hotel -
The hotel was located right next to Grand Hotel and Araliya. The location was exceptional and central to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful for my holiday a good one. 100% recommend this place.

This hotel transports guest back to the European era. Handcrafted furniture, European style rooms are simple superb. Food and services are really good. Overall it's a very good experience.

Cozy, bungelow style boutique hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Hotel Glendower has been here for years and a lovely little hotel to stay. Fantastic location, just down the street from the famous 5 star Grand Hotel, you can't complain at all given Glendowers price point.

This is cute little hotel in heart of Nuwara Eliya. Among thousands of properties, I finally selected this hotel because of the location, price and good communication.
Rooms are spacious, well furnished, has cable TV, a safe, a fridge and a very good bathroom with uninterrupted hot water.
Staff is very friendly, caring and attentive.
We booked 2nights half board basis. English breakfast is excellent. Their Chinese dinner is average but the second day Western dinner is delicious. I recommend to order Western for dinner. Fruit juices and soups are very good too.
Hotel has a well maintained beautiful Garden, a cute English pub and well furnished and decorated interior.
We are well satisfied for the price we paid and I definitely recommend the hotel for family and couple stays.

We visited the place for a drink. We loved the pub and overall interior of the Hotel. It is a very old hotel. I feel outside needed a bit of a renovation. Loved the garden. Food was so good. The bartender, Krishan did a very good job. We met Isuru, and he also was so nice to us.

Really poor service. Foods were served after one hour of ordered. Meals were served staggered. Some meals were not served. No serviettes provided. Parking is a poor, have go back to the car for release other vehicles. This is my true experience today dinner. I don't know other days.

This hotel looks nice from the outside, but is very old and outdated from the inside. The shower and the toilet are pretty gross, too. The good thing about this place is that their stuff is very nice and helpful, everyone was accommodating and friendly.

Must be one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka if service is what you want. Very attentive and helpful. If you go try a meal at the Grand hotel next door. Food not as dear as you would think.

Actually its not far away from town.it gives you colonial type of experience with the antiques n unique architecture, well maintained garden. Beautiful place to be in
