Gregorys Bungalow

I stayed here one day. & it was amazing time I had. Staff is so friendly & they have fulfilled all my requirements. Food also yummy

We spend two nights in this bungalow - Jan 27th - 29th
The location was so relaxing and peaceful with the cool breeze coming from the lake. But overall, the bungalow was not good and functioning as we expected and it’s NOT organized properly and welcoming. Only 1 heater is available for the whole bungalow and you have to buy other stuff like firewood from outside and it’s NOT provided by the bungalow. Kitchen is not tidy at all and the food prepared wasn’t good tho. Even the rooms were okay, the bungalow wasn’t just like in the pics.
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUNGALOW

This is great place to stay. 20M to Gregory Park & Helipad. Rooms, Kitchen, Bathrooms garden are great.see some photos shared by me

The wifi did not work in our room. The staff was courteous and was ready to cook as per our wishes. Cozy place with a wonderful view. The linen was not clean when we entered but they changed it immediately upon request.

This is really a good place to stay. The service of the staff can be highly appreciated. The facilities are are OK. Can be recommended to anyone

Good place with a great view. Rooms are okay. But the tv was terrible. Manager was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was so good. If I'm going to choose this place it's only to feel the Nuwara Eliya.the cold wind, mist and the lake.

Elegantly designed property with very comfortable bedrooms. Nice little garden with stunning lake view. 5 minutes from the city center. Ideal place for families and small groups.

View is great from here. Staff n mangment was very friendly n keen on attending our concerns. Breakfast is great.

However, the place is very old now n really need a good renovation. Rooms are not well maintained n bedding are not up to the standard of a modern hotel. Water pressure wad quite low during our visit. Our room got very old crt type tv n which even show only a bright white line.

Friendly staff, need more options in the breakfast menu. In front of the bicycle ride park of Gregory lake. Cheap. Comfortable.

Back room on the ground floor does not get sunshine so has damp and smelly feel
Front room ground floor had a fresh feel.
Water closets (flush) need cleaning.
Bathrooms I feel.should always be sparkling and spotless

It's a Bungalow but it's use as hotel. Bungalow has 6 spacious room with enough comfort with living room. Room service we're great even the food
Only problem I found was lack of air conditioning

It is place d at picturesque location near the lake. It is primarily a Bungalow converted to a guest house. So, it may not be directly comparable to modern hotels around. The rooms were comfortable albeit low in ventilation. Food served will be as per the choice of guest and hence, it will be liked by everyone. Staff attending guests are really cordial making all guests feel very comfortable.

Overall a good experience. Very friendly staff. Rooms carpet not clean enough and also the sheets.

Imagine you have a 2 storey Bungalow on a hill station, lakeside, with a nice hearted care taker, and everything you ask is there, that's Gregory's bungalow, in Nuwara Eliya.
Best location, best views, best interior / ambience. The bungalow is about 75 yr old. Though this may be 3 star hotel, but the experience is 5 star.
