Lakeside Cottages

I am completely disappointed with the management because they canceled my booking at the last moment due to a foreigner booking. This is how they treat local visitors at the last moment. I had made my reservation a week before.

Fantastic location, right next to the lake. Amole space inside the cottage. Can accommodate 5 people. Fully functional kitchen and washing machine. There is no food served by the hotel so that was a downside.

The villa is very beautiful, very clean, and the view is very beautiful

It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a hall, a living room, a kitchen, a washing machine, and an Internet network, and it is located near the lake.

Lovely place for small groups. Private, well-equipped, great view and convenient location.

This cottages are clean & comfortable. Additionally friendly staff & lake view looks great. But hot water showers were not working properly and no cctv or gate in their car park.

A Good Place Scottish style cottage to Chill with family, has everything needed. Mr Rohan the Manger was very helpful.

Very nice cottage. Feels like home. Spacious and clean rooms, well equipped pantry, small but nice garden. Staff is friendly and supportive. Location is super. Ideal for small families who are coming to explore nuwaeliya as this is located near greagory lake.

Spent two awesome days at Lakeside Cottages. maps may mislead you when finding the place if you're coming from other side of the lane (sorry I can't remember the name of it). But from the lakeside if you're planning to come it's easier to find as it is one of the first cottages you will come across.

The view is amazing, and it's walking distance to the lake. They got 3 nice cozy cottages with 3 bedrooms (accommodated 5 pax) a living area, kitchen and dinning area. If possible I would recommend to have mirrors in the bedroom and the sofa to be replaced in the living room as its kinda over used. The staff was really friendly and helpful and you can even get some help from them.

Had a really nice time with my friends and definitely recommend others as well.

Lakeside Cottages. Where do I start,

Booked this place not too long ago for a family trip and I must say, it was worth every penny and the long drive from Colombo. The simple relaxation you get once you enter this magnificently built // kept place is simple amazing. We were welcomed by Mr. Rohan who is the manage and It was just a delight meeting him in person, always at his best to keep us accommodated. Not forgetting Frincley who is the Supervisor who always had a smile on his face and made sure we were comfortable. Raja the caretaker too was a pleasant person and would always be the first one to make sure you're looked after. I normally do not give places five star reviews unless they are Up-to expectations but this place nailed every bit of it and I would definitely recommend this place for all travelers, near and far.

A place that will make you feel home.

Best place to stay in nuwara eliye. They provide better customer service. Moreover their whole staff including the manager are very friendly and helpfull. Our vehicle breaked down near the town. When we called the manager in the Lakeside cottage he helped to fixed that issue asap. Cottages are cleaned moreover all the cottages are sanitized thus the current pandemic situation. In all rooms have beautiful view and alos cottage has modern kitchen including the all kitchenwares.

Really nice place. We stayed there for 3 days. Cottage was very nice and clean and had a beautiful garden. Also manager and other staff were helpful and friendly.

Cozy cottages with a good view of the lake. The cottages are perfectly laid out inside with an open kitchen and dining area on one side of the ground floor. There is a cozy hall with a fireplace on the otherside of the ground floor
When you head upstairs you will have a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a second room with two single beds and a third room with 1 single bed. The master bedroom comes with an attached bathroom and the other 2 rooms have a common bathroom.

BBQ facilities are available upon request and reservation (Its gas so you need not worry). Cleaning and maintaining should be done by yourselves but there are tons of places nearby to eat.

Why the rating was reduced from 4 stars to 3 stars.
I had to my original rating from 4 stars to 3 stars as on the last day we were not informed of a full day power cut. Understanding that its out of their hands but the back up generator had to be shared with the other cottages and also we could not get into the shower until 6 pm. Additonally water did not work till the generator was connected. It would have been a better experience if we were informed so that we could have planned the day.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable cottages. Worth for the price. You have the privacy and feel like home.

Mr Rohan and his team are very welcoming and helpful.
