Misty Paradise of Lake Gregory

The host is very friendly.
The room I booked was actually old and not thoroughly cleaned. I found some spiders in the pillows.
Towels with stains. It has an old bathroom.
Breakfast could have been better. The place has a good view.

I think based on other reviews that something happened with our room and there was a sort of mix up. The room looked made up but was NOT cleaned and washed. The floor was not swept, the sheets were stained and had fresh black marks on them, pillow cases stained or dirty, not sure which. Coffee spills on the floor and furniture, dirty teaspoon and saucer still with sticky coffee on it. The bin in the toilet looked like it hadn't been wiped down in months. All white surfaces full of black marks from use, which easily came off if wiped which means they were not stained, but dirty. The wardrobe was so musty we didn't even use the covers inside. We advised the owner who brought new clean sheets but he was quite defensive and kind of mocking us for the demands. He apologized after some time in the room.

Even assuming there was a mistake and the room had not been cleaned, there were several other issues. The listed price online with third parties was about 20,000. When we got there, the owner said 40,000. When we pointed out that was not the listed price, he backed off and said we'll talk about it in the morning. We settled for 18,000 in the end. We later found out that when our guide had originally called to inquire they had agreed to 15,000.

This place needs some better upkeep and is due for an upgrade if they are going to charge this amount, for which you can find much better accommodation.

As the name suggests, the view from the hotel was breathtaking! It was overlooking the Gregory lake & surrounded by lush green mountains.
Hotel was spacious & neat & clean. Breakfast was delicious & service was very good. Both care takers, Sanjay & Isuru were chearful & extremely helpful & made us fee absolutely at home.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya.

A nice spacious room. Both for 2 pers. 3 persons and 6 persons. With a shared living room. Which is very nice. Multiple balconies with beautiful views of the Gregory lake. Staff are friendly. They make their own breakfast and it is also very tasty. It is a starkly lankan breakfast. The bed is wonderful and the shower was fantastic with hot water. If you book or call the hotel, it is cheaper than booking.

Best place for a memorable stay in NuwaraEliya. Great View, Best Food & Superb Hospitality. 100% Recommended.

It was a very nice stay at misty paradise, we were a couple and booked the top floor double room with a balcony and it was very beautiful. From the balcony you see the beauty of lake gregory we really loved the place.
They served us a very tasty breakfast too.
Manager Ramya was very kind and helpful with anything you ask for. Big thanks to all the staff who were very nice and kind.

Misty Paradise of Lake Gregory is not just another place for your vacation, in Nuwaraeliya, but, a place which has so much to offer it’s guests!
Had the privilege and comfort of staying at this beautiful place for 3 days and it indeed was a really good vacation! From sceneries to yummy food to the cozy rooms with bunk beds in one room which was quite unique, we had a great time! Best part was waking up to the scenic view covered with mist, of Lake Gregory, which is facing the hotel. Enjoyed every bit of this stay ️

I booked a hotel then when I went their did not like it. My driver recommended this place to me. It was a great place and loved it. Good breakfast an amazing view of two lakes.

The rooms are very large, and very clean, the property with the facing to the Gregory lake is very pretty. The staff is very pleasant helpful and friendly. Everything was amazing from the customer service (specially Ramya) to dinner and Breakfast. Highly recommended this place to stay and enjoy. Excellent. Ranish and staff

The owner and the staff were super friendly. Food was also delicious and you can have a great view of nuwaraeliya by looking outside from this hotel. So highly recommended.

Clean/Nice place to stay. I stayed in family room, kids enjoyed bunk beds. Friendly owner will take care of you.
