Wow! What a place! This is my first visit to a dairy farm and I'm really impressed. This is a huge farm with hundreds of cows and other animals. It is also a big tourist attraction and they have a huge parking lot. You need to purchase tickets to visit the farm. There are special timings to see the milking process which I missed. But to walk around the farm itself is quite impressive. Well maintained and tourist friendly too. You can also grab a quick bite at the restaurant.

Last visit Sep 2023. One of the most famous attractions in Nuwara eliya. Keep away during long holidays. It took 3hrs to get there and even more coming back. The view is awesome depending on the weather. Now they have expanded the facilities specifically the automated milking facility and the facility how you go see them.increased the price as well to Rs. 250. But for kids its a awesome place to go, so many other attractions on the way as well. Parking is expanded to harbor more than 50 vehicles even that is overflowing during peak times. So better to check with locals and then decide to head that way.

Beautiful experience to anyone who wants to get an end to end knowledge about cow milking & breeding process. Visitors can also watch Goats & Rabbits in breeding as well. The old buildings are of very poor condition but the newly built processing center is very informative. Visitors can watch the cow milking process for specifics time slots in the day. Once outside, take some time to enjoy the beautiful scenery & grasslands surrounding the area. It’s truly a beautiful sight.

I have visited this place couple of times before. This time I went cos I wanted my kids to visit the farm. This time couldn't even step in to a shed as it was so stinking. And the cows looks so dirty, feels really sorry for these animals. Looking at the dirty place and dirty cows I don't think I will buy their products anymore. So disappointed visit.

It was a nice experience. Manufacturing of milk products is the main purpose of this place. A nice landscape area. This huge farm is maintained well. Cows, Goats and rabbit farms were there.

The road to the farm entrance is very much picturesque. You can see cows pasturing while you travel to the farm. The entrance ticket price for a local adult is LKR 200. You can visit to the sheds to see cows, goats and caged rabbits. Feels like the place is not well maintained now. Milking cows happen in the morning, afternoon and in the evening for an hour. You can take a look at the milking process if you are available at the park during that time. Cheese making process is only shown through a video, but you can see the machinery from a distance. There is a restaurant available with fresh dairy products to satisfy your fresh milk cravings. You can also buy Ambewela dairy products from the restaurant.

This farm is located at Ambewela which is a few Km away from Nuwara eliya. The New Zealand Farm is a part of the Ambewela Farm which are both dairy farms. New Zealand Farm is located only 3-4 Km away from Ambewela farm. New Zealand farm rears pure bred Friesian cows and maintain a pure line of cattle. In order to maintain the quality of milk the cows are provided with a rich diet and sterilized water. Excellent health care are given on a 24 hr basis. Here one can see the largest grass lands of Sri Lanka and is also a part of the Ambewela farm which manufactures dairy products, such as milk, cheese and yoghurt and could be seen by visitors.but thees days due to COVID-19 you have get special authorized for visiting.

You have to travel about 3 km from Ambewela junction to reach the New Zealand farm. The road leading to the farm is in good shape. There is a vehicle park with ample space, even to park buses. You have to purchase a ticket at the entrance to farm. It will take around an hour to visit the farm. Mist will create scenic landscapes inside the farm.
