Had a bad experience. They didn’t give us a room they have in this pictures. Bathrooms are not good quality. Garden is the only good thing they had. ️ we stayed there 5th june

We were very surprised by the high scores Oviya Guest had.
The host was friendly but we found the house uncomfortable and would have chosen another place if the reviews had been more realistic.
(It was 15degrees Celsius and rainy outside and freezing in the house)

1.  The house is an old Victorian house, nothing luxurious as some comments said. The living room was old, cold and dark, not comfortable to hang out. Therefore, we didn't stay for breakfast.

2. The bed had clean sheets and big blankets so it was nice but it was freezing in the room so we were in bed from 7pm to 7am wrapped in the blankets.
A heater would have been useful.

3. There wasn't any sign of the guesthouse outside. Actually there was a sign saying "the house could not be lease as a tourist property"!

4. We were the only ones in the house.

Lovely hotel with comfortable beds and hot water in the rooms. Great view of the mountains all around the house. Friendly staff and working WiFi. About a 10 minute walk from the bus station.

The place is clean, room was really big with private balcony. The view is okay, of the street really.
The location was great, few minutes walk from Victoria park.
Good for a night or 2.

Stayed here for one night. The place is quite good and cozy. Hot water available that makes the chilly morning shower a better one. Customer service is average and they are trying to control more over the guests.

One of the best places to be while you are in Nuwara Eliya. Guest friendly & helpfull staff.

Rooms are semi luxury. But the service is very poor. Do not treat the guests well. Not worth for the rates at all.

Room was basic, (as expected) but the owners were wonderful and the water was hot (for those chilly morning showers). About a 15-min walk from downtown. Definitely recommended for the price.
