6Average stay. Cozy rooms. Food needs little improvement in the quality and the taste wise.
A large hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Located at Mahagastota junction. Very close to Gregory Lake and 5 minutes drive to Moon Plains. Also easy access to Hakgala garden. If you book this hotel through, you will have to pay much. So contact the hotel directly for the reservation.
Better avoid this joint. Small rooms, no heaters, messing up your bookings and over charging are a few things. Owner was the biggest culprit. Would not recommend even if the stay was for free. Cheers
We, the members / families of Richmond Union - Matara had our 3 day to Trip to Nuwara Eliya on 14,15 & 16 of September 2018. We reserved all the Rooms and had a nice, memorable session. The rooms were neat and tidy, the ambiance was good and the Restaurant at the top was a fitting floor for our fun and frolic activities.
All the members / families were happy on the nice friendly set up, and there were no restrictions whatsoever.
We recommend to any group (we had a group of 34) as a affordable, friendly lodge to stay and having fun in your next visit to N Eliya.
We too note to make it as an annual encounter and American Star Hotel will be our unanimous choice.
