Princess Bungalows

A beautiful 19th century building. Lovers of authenticity here. The rooms have working fireplaces. In the bathroom there is a door to the garden. This is not the place for service lovers! The bed was dirty, with sand and hair, the bedspread was greasy, there was no sheet provided for it. I had to put a T-shirt on the pillow and sleep in my clothes. At 4 am, behind the wall at the reception the phone was ringing loudly every 10 minutes, I had to get up and go look for the manager. In general, you won’t be able to get a good night’s sleep and rest in this hotel.

We checked into this hotel, one might say, “for show”; it is considered a landmark of the city to stay in an old English mansion.
The room is quite spacious even for 3 adults, large bathroom, fireplace adds ambiance. In my opinion, the mattress is too soft, but this is nitpicking.
There is a common area with a place for eating, all utensils can be used.
The towels are soft and terry, washed with care)
High audibility in the room, wifi did not work during our stay.
Initially, the price was inflated, but there was no one except us who wanted to live there, maybe that’s why they agreed to our price)
Walking distance to the center.
In general, if you want to plunge into this atmosphere, you can spend the night here!

Dinesh was very helpful from the beginning till the end of our stay, very accommodative and welcoming. Food was fantastic and definitely highly recommended, chef Chamara was excellent and very talented, it was a beautiful dinner and a breakfast.
All other team members were also very helpful as well.

The spacious and well lit rooms are in reasonable price and perfect for a stay after long walks around the city. The owner and staff are very friendly, professional and polite. Their humble service makes the place outshine among the other resorts.

I checked out one day earlier and asked for a refund. You would probably like to spend more money staying in somewhere else newer and equipments are workable. Only the owner would be able to understand English to some degree without misunderstands you. They wouldn’t understand enthusiasm so just directly said what you want and what they couldn’t do. Nuwara Eliya is generally expensive than everywhere else in Lanka and that’s why it is still survived by this quality and price.
