Princess of Dickoya

A beautiful homestay in the middle of the tea plantations. We were picked up by TukTuk at Hatton train station. This is even free of charge.
We were then warmly welcomed to the homestay with tea and biscuits. The room is simply but functionally furnished and very clean. The small private terrace directly in front of the room was incredibly nice, especially for enjoying the delicious breakfast after climbing Adams Peak.
The dinner is also very tasty! The driver to Adams Peak organized Saman for us and we even received sandwiches. The homestay is the perfect starting point for Adams Peak and I would recommend two nights to visit the beautiful tea plantations in the area. Many thanks to Saman and his family for the unforgettable stay!

I really wish there was a way to give more than 5 stars, coz that's my real sentiment after having had the pleasure of staying with the wonderful family of Saman.
Food is exceptional, it is truly magical and a great ambassador for sri Lankan cuisine range
Rooms are comfortable, the view is stunning, plenty of sun, great trees with lot of fruit welcome you
Accessibility is on point and if you are vegetarian the food is just amazing.

Positive:
- the owners are warm, friendly and helped us a lot (loan of scooter, dropped us off at the station, directions to the train)
- very good cuisine, excellent breakfast (best kottu we could eat in 10 days)
- very clean bedroom and bathroom and linens with a pleasant smell
- breathtaking view of the tea fields

No negative points. We can only highly recommend this establishment!

We spent one night in this very nice family run hotel. We had a rice & curry cooking class with the owners which was great, we prepared so many different delicious curries. The hosts are really nice!

No doubts. Just call them and book the room. Rooms are with balcony to enjoy the view. One of the best home stay i have visited so far.

Stayed for a few nights, amazing hospitality and food. Better stick to the more local cuisines but those were made really well.

This was the best place i ever stayed in! Saman, his wife and kids are so kind, they show you the nicest places, they make the best food (i can say that as a chef!) and made me feel so welcome in their house. The rooms are perfect and so good decorated. Samar is for my an inspiring person, by being so kind of be helpful. I am going back in a month, because this is real Sri Lanka for me.

Incredible stay! Saman and his family are lovely people. We highly recommend staying here, we'll definitely be back in the future. The food served by Samans wife was amazing, it was our first evening in Sri Lanka and hadn't tried Sri Lankan food before, every dish she served us was delicious!

The room was very spacious and well lit. Beds were very comfy with clean towels and linen. The whole place looks brand new so all the facilities are top notch. Had all the amenities and hot water. Staff was ultra friendly! They tended all our needs even before we had to ask. Breakfast was fabulous.
Had a great view overlooking Dickoya town with mountains. It's just couple of minutes walk for Dickoya town and couple of tea factories nearby.
I'd like to say that they went that extra mile on giving us the best stay that we can possibly have. 10/10 Will definitely stay there on our next visit to Hatton/Dickoya.

Nice homestay, with nice hosts. Delicious food. Saman can help organize trips around Dickoya, we made tea factory + waterfalls and that was great. The view from the balony was unfortunatelly not as nice as on some pictures. There is no fridge in the room (I think the description does not mention about fridge, So no surprise), just I thought it is standard for Sri Lanka ;) another small detail - no possibility to read in bed, as there are no by-bed lamps. And something that I specifically don't like - prices in the menu were not the same as on Our bill. I. E. Curry that supposed to be 780Rs Was 900 rs on bill. Each dish Was at the end 50-100 rs more expensive than in menu. And water, which Was served to us, even through we didn't order, Was not for free. All in all positive Experience, but not for 5stars on Google.

Clean rooms, beautifull view from room balcony, excelent food, friendly owner who can manage all tourists posibilities and help with everything you need. We feele here very comfortable.

Nice view. Not so busy like Hatton at itself. The Host were friendly and the Rooms clean. The food was very good!

Absolutely lovely! The care and special treatment we received from the owners was absolutely perfect. The place is gorgeous, the view beautiful and the rooms just great! Quickly after arriving we started to regret to stay just one night. The peace and happiness we've felt just by being there was miraculous!

The hosts are so helpful and mindful. They suggested activities in the neighbourhood and went beyond expectations for every of our demands. This place is probably among the best you can get from a price/quality perspective; greatly recommend!

Great hotel. The best place to stay in Tea Country. The room and service are excellent and view from balcony is absolutely amazing.
