Ramboda Falls Hotel

The hotel is located opposite the Ramboda waterfall, with direct access to the waterfall. We got a room overlooking the waterfall. A beautiful view also of the valley, but at night you can hear the sound of the water.

We liked the hotel. Everything was clean, the rooms on the ground floor are the coolest with a gorgeous view of the waterfall. The staff is good. There is a bar on the second floor with billiards. We recommend stopping here if you want a good view of the falls.

Perfect place, relaxing atmosphere, good breakfast. And the most important is the sound of waterfall at night. Very good place for meditation. Recommended

Absolutely stunning place with an amazing view of the lower Ramboda Falls.
Great food and excellent staff. There's a natural pool at the back of the hotel with refreshing water.
(just make sure to bring some soap to rub on your feet because there's a lot of leeches on the path to the pool)
The rooms are kept nicely with a surprisingly good hygiene.
The road to the hotel is really narrow and can't be taken by foot, there's a free shuttle service for the guests to make the trip easier.
We stayed at room no. 115 which was an isolated room with a perfect view of the waterfall.

Special thanks to the kind staff including the manager Mr. Bandara, the head chef and all the numerous people who helped us throughout our vacation.

Where to begin with our stay at Ramboda Falls. My understanding was that we were to have a deluxe room for the evening but were initially given a mountain view room with two single beds slid together.   After further discussions with front desk and how unpleased we were, we were put into a deluxe triple room with fall view.   The single bed was taken out of the room at our request.

The following is a list of issues within this room

1) the washroom.the toilet was leaking and the solution to this issue was placing a towel around the base of it.
Also the shower enclosure was an accident waiting to happen. The glass was not secured properly so opening and closing the shower door was an action to be preformed carefully.

2) the linens on the bed were absolutely horrible. Nevermind the holes in them but the dirt and hair was just unacceptable.

3) the floors in this room were dirty as anything so we had to wear our shoes in the room as your feet would be black and filthy and the last thing we wanted to do was step into that shower.

4) the room also had issues with things not working such as the phone, the inroom fridge and some burnt out lights. The lighting in the main hallway had one of six light bulbs working. Not to mention exposed wires on the walls and the corners falling apart. Im sorry but a hotel can not blame covid for the lack of cleanliness.

5) no wifi during our entire stay

6) we were supposed to have high tea however was canceled

7) we paid an exorbant amount of 345 lkr for a Pepsi

It's completely worth it to pay a little more and stay elsewhere!

It was right next to a waterfall and its breathtaking. When it comes to the services it was not up to the standard.

We were taken by a hotel van to the hotel which was in very poor condition (both physically and hygienically). Welcoming to hotel was also not up to the standard and I had to find my way to my room by myself. There were no proper instructions as well.

When it’s come to room. It was in very poor condition. Telephone line was not working had to call my phone to order room services. There was water leakages in telephone shower. And the bath tub was in yellow color as it was not cleaned properly for ages. And it is impossible to adjust water heat in main shower it’s either hot or cold.

When it’s comes to food I have ordered a nasigoreng and it was full of salt and they have charged 1600 for it. Once we complained about quality they have given a discount. Most of the foods we tried there was with excessive salty and we had to wipe off some potato chips in order to eat it.

This is a very beautiful place and I believe if they can improve these services they can attract many people for the resort and even increases their revenue significantly.

Need to go at least 2 km from main road, good view. Ramboda Hotel view point closed.wich is easy access to water fall.

They blocked the waterfall and created the hotel. Outside tourists are urged to buy a hotel room if they want to see the waterfall.very disappointed about hotel staff.

It was an awesome experience! Natural pool, the water falls.ohh, That view is unbelievable and superb. And also meals are delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for visit and spend some time with calm, beautiful nature.

Wooww.wooww.woow. It was amazing. Friendly staff, mouth watering food make us more comfortable. Not only that but also waterfall viewing rooms are unbelievably Fabulous.come and help to rebuild our tourism.

Gave us a five star service although we were the only guest in the hotel. Food was very tasty and the presentation was also good. Make sure to get a room closest to the waterfall.

It was the worst experience ever & only the good thing about the hotel is the beautiful view of the waterfall. The management was very unproffesional and ignorant. The hygeine of the room was very poor. We got rashes afterwards. Don’t recommend to anyone.

The only good thing about the hotel is its view. The staff is good but the manager's attitude is so bad since the moment we called him to book the room. He was very unprofessional. We got rashes very badly due to the room's poor hygeine and we even found ticks in our body after sleeping. There was dog poop in the restaurant we were eating. We waited to get our room for almost two hours even when we booked earlier and informed our check in time. We feel really disappointed as they can develop more and get more use of the beautiful location the hotel is located. In conclusion our stay was unpleasant and we will never recommend the hotel to anyone, its a waste of money and time. Even after one week of our stay the rashes and red spots still didn't seem to go.

Pathetic food.no service.they didn't even serve basic things like tissues, salt pepper.there was no one to take care once the food was served.just stop to get yourself clicked at Ramboda falls

Cozy place. Foods are so delicious. Can see the Ramboda water fall clearly from the restaurant. About 22km from the Nuwara Eliya

A really cool and a beautiful place to visit but you need to take hike up and down to the waterfalls but it’s worth the effort. It’s worth stopping if you are on the way to Nuwara Eliya.

RAMBODA FALLS HOTEL. Excellent property having a direct view of Ramboda waterfalls. One can enjoy the delicious food while viewing the magnificent waterfalls. The staff is friendly n service too good. A must visit place. The view of this hotel is very good. Also the fall is very short distance from hotel around 100 mts. The small bar is also available near watelfall. So the chill bear with this waterfall view is really fabulous. Also some people are just come for showing this beautiful waterfall view and capturing this beautiful moment. The staff of this hotel is nice in nature. Also i enjoying this view like awesome moment of my life. Management was good. Friendly staff. They dont have port in their buffet. Hotel needs an upgrade. With the location.there is a high potential that they can go for a better renovation. As a constructive feedback i would like to suggest if they had coloured the hotel in white colour instead of green it would look prestigious and would give that elegant look as well. To feel the Ramboda falls you need to stay this place. Amazing location beautiful site to watch the live water fall. Truly an amazing place to visit. Beautiful waterfall. Thanks to rains during the past week, the water flow was at it's best. A small fee is to be paid to the hotel for the vehicle provided. The falls is located in the hotel premises. You can also have a tea in the scenic restaurant overseeing the beautiful falls. A must visit place in Sri Lanka. I Highly Recommended RAMBODA FALLS HOTEL!

It was a room with a view worth paying for. Mr. Nawa is an asset to the property, his proactive approach to guest's needs such as keeping their cards ready before they arrive and with an ever smiling face to vid his guests goodbye. The property though could with some refurbishments, like the electric fittings are designed for pre mobile generation and the lack of an AC which although during the night is ok but during the day is unbearable. The bath tub doors are designed to open on the wrong side and it becomes difficult to prepare a hot tub without getting into the tub.
The chefs are good as the food was delectable and the singing troupe made having dinner a delightful experience.
