Spend 2 days here.in love with this place, great 2 floor room with a lake view! Cool breakfasts and service in general! Very recommended

Beautiful house in the hills! The owner was super friendly and his mother is a great cook! Always made sure we feel most comfortable and also gave us a FREE upgrade for the room with a beautiful view Its definitely a 10/10 recommended experience, we also extended our stay because we felt so confortable there

Me and my sister only stayed here for a night on our way from Kandy to Ella. The place itself was easy to find for us. The hosts just started accommodating guests in April 2023 and you can see that it's just been renovated! While the hosts live on the ground floor, there are four rooms on the first floor. There's a small ladder leading even higher however that part is still under construction which I believe will be another room. Even though the place is not fully renovated yet, this does not affect the area guests are staying in. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits in a little common area leading to the rooms. We were amazed by the room which really stood out from all the others we've stayed in so far! Beautifully decorated and furnished. There was a pleasant smell as well. The bed was very comfortable with two blankets that kept you warm at night after having a nice and hot shower. We could hear the guests next to our room as the walls aren't very soundproofed which didn't bother us at all as they weren't loud. Our host sent us some recommendations for places to see and where to go for dinner. He organized a tuktuk for us to take to the city and back to the accommodation. Breakfast the next day was really delicious which made me eat way too much. The honey roti was amazing! Our hosts also helped us out with taking the train to Ella and was always available via text in case we needed something. If the weather weren't bad, if would've loved to stay another night!

I can’t recommend this place enough! The room is cozy, the bed is comfortable, and the shower is working fine! The breakfast was delicious too. They have many breakfast options, I tried the Sri Lankan and the English breakfast and both of them were great!
Besides all of that, the host is a really helpful man and friendly and his mother is so kind and helpful too! I felt at home for my two-night stay! I’ll be coming back

Everything from arrival to the departure was nothing but a quality experience! A big thanks going out to Shan who didn’t fail to keep us company and also help us out in all ways by asking what needs to be done in terms of meals and everything else. Breakfast was amazing and delicious and will definitely visit Rustique House again. The place is really ambient and quiet with a nice surrounding and a balcony-view overlooking the Gregory Lake. Also the place is very clean and it almost feels like home. We enjoyed the stay very much. Once again thank you so much, Rustique House

The owner is helpful, kind and trustworthy. The place is boutique hotel, house. So beautiful atmosphere. Rooms and sitting area re designed art crafts as well. They prepared breakfast package for Hortons plains vocation. Everything is perfect with this place.

An hospitality that has touched us. First of all, a nice cup of tea at our arrival, a good chat with Ashley and later with his brother Leslie about some local recommendations.
They have an amazing room with two double beds separated by a little wood ladder like in a mountain cabin. The view in this room is just breathtaking: the lake and the mountains.
The decoration is very mothern and unique style with wood furniture, lamps etc, some of them made by them.
The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious (included in the price).
They asked many times if we were ok and if we had preferences for breakfast. They also asked what kind of improvements they could do to their guest house on the way to better welcome their future guests: I love the spirit.

Such a wonderful family, really sweet and cosy to be in their little place. The hospitality is amazing, the family is very helpful and the mum wakes up early to make you breakfast and makes the best sweet roti I’ve tasted. I would definitely recommend them if you’re coming to Nuwara Eliya. Be sure to keep yourself warm coz it’s cold in this city.

We stayed in this apartment for one day. As soon as we arrived, we were offered tea to warm up after the journey. Very good bed and pillows on the second floor. They told us the best route from Ella to Nuwara Eliya and a nice cafe in the city. The owner was very polite and responsive! The house is located opposite the lake and has a good view from the second floor. There was no noise from the road. The only negative is the pigeons, which made it a little difficult to sleep; they probably live inside the roof.

"rustic house", yes it made our holiday one of the most beautiful.their friendliness and support is excellent.this place is the best place to have the most beautiful views of beautiful Nuwara Eliya.

It was a really nice stay with my family at the place. Rooms are clean and hygiene. A wonderful view towards nuwara eliya town from the room. The place got a vibe that everyone will love. The owner is friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommended.

The place had an amazing view. You can have a wide view of Lake Gregory. At the night time there is an amazing view. We went to this place at around 10 pm and the owner of this place came to help us with our baggage. You have to park the vehicle near the road. Don't worry, there is a small area for parking. We had a tea pot on arrival. It was great in that cold environment. We booked a family room. There are two beds on two stairs. A double bed on the stairs and a treble bed is on the upstairs. It looks like a hideout cabin. These two stairs have great views of Lake Gregory. In the morning, we had a beautiful morning view. A really great place to go with your families and friends. A very reasonable price for the place. And have hot water in bathrooms. Highly recommended!
