Once a city prevailed, due to water the city was sunken in.
You can see few ruins and an old temple.
A very nice bridge too.

I recently had the opportunity to visit a water reservoir in Maskeliya, and I must say that I was impressed with what I saw. The reservoir is a vast, beautiful lake that is used to store water for municipal and agricultural purposes. The water was crystal clear, and the surrounding scenery was breathtaking.

The evening sky was a breathtaking mix of oranges, pinks, and purples that reflected off the calm waters of the pond. It was like watching a painting come to life before my very eyes. I felt so peaceful and grateful to be able to witness such a beautiful sight. Highly recommend taking a stroll around the pond during sunset, it's truly magical.

The pond was stocked with a variety of fish, including catfish, trout, and bass, which made for an exciting and diverse fishing experience. The overall atmosphere of the pond was peaceful and serene, making it a great escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Overall, my experience at the natural lake with the old Hindu temple in the middle was nothing short of magical. There were plenty of shady spots to sit and relax.

Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply seeking some peace and quiet, this natural lake is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it.
