The Royal Terrace Holiday Bungalow

The care taker lady is very rude for breakfast she served me an ice cold milk rice which had stale taste when i ask about it she said it was cooked this morning but it didn't taste like it was cooked the morning I had stomach issues all that morning after i ate that rice for night she cooked this veg fried rice which was over priced at 1500 lkr and it didn't taste good to had a very bad experience never recommend this place to anyone visiting nuwara eliya my humble request is if you do check in to the hotel don't eat there eat outside if you eat there you will definitely have stomach issues i will guarantee you that

Very old and extremely dirty place. Do not stay there. I paid the full amount in advance and visited the place.oh my god! The place was a mess and we did not stay.

Terrible.washrooms are too small, there are no any heaters in the bungalow, not enough space in the living area, strictly prohibited entering to the kitchen area, the care giver lady is too much, the foods we provided not fully utlize and food have been stolen, satisfactory service not given, i never recommend this bungalow to Anyone.

INDIANS, DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE.

The manager is rude, behaves kiddish. While leaving he was saying to our driver that all Indians are like this, while himself being an Indian. Out of spite that we complained to the owner, he turned off the water heater and wifi several times. There are a lot of options in Nuwara Eliya, check them out. The property is decent, though the carpets are unclean and smell like socks.

Hard to take the vehicle up to the bungalow.
Bad respect against guests.
A black Tamil guy even came to fight with us when we asked why hot water is not working (called him self Manager)

I don't suggest any one to go there even view is great.

There is another resting place below there I think they are much more better and have good respect for there customer's

The place is located at a beautiful location. We bought dinner and it was delicious. Hot water was available 24hrs. The damp carpet of the room floor created a kind of unpleasant smell throughout the night. Bed linens and curtains was dirty. The room and bathroom had dirty corners.

The place is really nice and the views are breathtaking but there was a huge issue, the woman sharmila needs to learn how to treat customers. It seemd like she lived there. It doesn't even matter but the worse part is the bed linens are dirty and she comes into the bungalow and sits on the main sofa and watches TV. Whenever we go out she stays in the bungalow. Plus she works there as the chef and I found a dead worm on my plate. The place is good but that sharmila woman needs to learn how to treat customers

Cozy place. Although it needs some renewation and modern amenities. It seems like it has not been used. Was moldy on the walls and toilets was not clean.
The care taker is amazing she is a superwoman. Will go out of the way to satisfy your requirements.

Scenery was good but the person who is looking after the place is involving too much with the guests and she stays in a room inside the house. Kind reminder to take extra salt packets, oil and vim for her use. Some of the facilities they promise to provide are not available.

Not up to expectations. No heaters for all the rooms. It's a small house which is renovated and definitely not a bungalow. Care taker is helpful and friendly. Double rooms are tad smaller yet cozy.

Everything is fine. A beautiful environment. A beautiful bungalow. Very quiet environment. But the value of all of them is lost due to the actions of Mrs. Sharmila who works there. Because she is a cunning woman. If you are going to stay there for two or four days, you should give her enough food for about four days. She also eats those foods. Asking 1500 for the rent for a BBQ. I finished a bottle of coconut oil and 250g of butter for four meals.

The place is beautiful, clean and peaceful. Surrounding also attractive. The room we got was quite small but the bed was very large. There was a television, rack and small desk with hot water flask. Bathroom is also small and there was no soap and towels so you need to get your own towels and other stuffs. Dinner was cost 600 LKR per one person that was noodles with a chicken curry. Day one breakfast was cup of milk rice with lunumiris and second day it was roti. We god Cup of tea that was charged additionally, 100 LKR for a tea.staff was very friendly and helpful but facilities should be improved. Access road is narrow difficult to take a vehicle but bicycle could be.

House is nice, but there are some cons: no heating at cold nights, no place to dry up cloth, kitchen lacks pots and pan. Last but not least, it is very difficult to get to the house from the main road (200 m) with normal car. There is very steep hill, you need awd.

Good bungalow comfortable beds. But very very hard to access the premises and very dangerous road. We agreed the cost with the owner in advance, But caretaker ask more money for cooking. That's very expensive.

The guest house itself is charming and the rooms and beds are very comfortable. It is located a little away from Nuwara eliya town but the plus point is that you are staying right next to a gorgeous tea plantation!

The negatives of the place however outweigh the positives. They don't have any lunch or dinner facilities, only option is to order from Pizza Hut or take a tuk tuk to town. The manager is really not interested, he is a little rude and is always on the phone. In addition, there are many houseflies all over the property, this is very annoying especially when you are eating.

If this property is better managed and cleaner, it would be a delight to stay in! But its not and that's disappointing.

Everything is okay but be careful with the their water and the the lady were there.
Water is not clean we were stayed two days suffered from loose motion.
Doors cannot be completely closed little space were there so privacy is not good.
The entire floor was completely carpet therefore comfortable for our foots. The morning view and entire view is amazing.

It's the great view and quite place.receptionist is here. Good place to enjoy our vacation. Food is cooked according to our needs and we can cook and eat.it's maked me feeling comfortable

The location is very beautiful. Nice house. Rooms and beds are comfortable. The care taker helped us well. If i had a complain it would be the food and drinks served here are over priced.

The place is nice and clean. Beautiful and misty environment was there.service is good. They didn't supply towels coz covid. No heaters in the rooms. Hot water available. Manager sharmila is friendly and can request meals which we want. Additionaly charged every meals even bed tea (150) without breakfast. No restaurants near by. You have to go city.

Highly reccomended this place to any one comes to NuwaraEliya. Comfortable place to cover whole places is Nuwara Eliya & the place was Calm, clean & safely park your vehicle. The lady who was managing the place is very friendly & serve with deletious food. Her hospitality is a remarkable. Prices are very reasonable & locate in a beautiful place. Deffinetly we"ll visit again.
