The Tea Garden reviews
23 Amazing place with a nice garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was nice, the room is spacious and has a heater so it's always warm and there is hot water in the shower. View from the terrace is beautiful.
And they gave a thoughtful present at the end, a bag with local tea, just amazing.
Would definitely recommend it
One of the beautiful boutique hotels I've stayed in. The host Sameer is such a sweetheart, Warm and kind.
It's a beautiful clean property close to the city.
We were very happy with our stay at the Tea Garden. It felt like being back in a cottage in England and having a night away from Sri Lanka. It was very comfortable and relaxing for us. I would highly recommend staying there and the staff were so welcoming and friendly
The room was cosy, but not in a small way. The bed was great and there were 2 bedside lamps which were nice for reading. There was a kettle and hair dryer. We had the outside living part and kitchen to ourselves as noone else was staying in our part. There was a big sofa and dining table. The bathroom was good, only not much room to put your things, but that's not a big deal. It was a lovely stay and the breakfast was delicious.
Stayed one night there on December 2022. Make sure you book the deluxe room. It has a nice view to the tea garden and a nice balcony. This hotel has a nice view facing to a tea garden. Comfortable room.
Beautifully located with a view of a tea plantation. These villas are beautifully decorated with simple but rich designs. The beds are comfortable where you don't want to wake up in that cold climate. (Just like a Marriot bed if you know what I'm saying) the staff are excellent. Breakfast is delicious. One of my favorite places in Nuwara Eliya.
The place was good.
Breakfast good.
Only I will like them to provide lunch and dinner also
First i would like to appreciate mr Sameera the manager he is really great host. I would put the tea garden in line with some very elite properties i have stayed in the past not less than a four star. The view and weather are amazing. The staff is really hospitable. The breakfast was really filling for two people so much so we often skipped lunch. There are few things that I found could improve like in house dinning they provide breakfast but don't make lunch or dinner. However Sameera will get you food from the restaurant near by. The rooms are really clean we stayed in the delux suit. If your hungry order from pizza hut they deliver otherwise restaurants are in far off places.
Nice place, it is in the middle of a tea garden. Enjoyed their hospitality, they offer us a tea packet as a tocken of love while checking out️
Absolutely loved the stay! The place was well maintained even through the lockdown period. The vibe is so luxurious and cosy.
Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are well equipped. The view is nice from the upstairs deluxe room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was home made and soo nice. Actually nothing to complain about.
Beautiful and clean place. Hospitality was great. Manager Mr. Amal and his assistant were great hosts and helpful. But it was a very cold place.
We had one night stay at tea garden deluxe room. It was one of the best stays we had. Special thank should go to “Mr. Sameera” who provided us a generous hospitality in a really friendly manner. The Breakfast was so simple and very tasty, exactly how we wanted at the time. Cold and calm environment, with all the facilities and cleanliness you expect. We had a great time. Highly recommended for travelers out there ️
The manager Sameer was very friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff. The owner was also helpful because we had to cancel a room due to COVID and he was understanding. However the room was a bit too old and tired for the price. The curtains didn’t fit so, at night I felt very exposed. The photos showed much larger grounds and a more country surrounding whereas we were cheek to jowl with small vegetable plots with people working on them within a stone throw, but not the idyllic farm, rather, an urban setting with derelict buildings. Also there was a temple that started their morning chanting at 6, so if you’re looking for a sleep in, this place isn’t it. On the plus side, The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was tasty.
Nice location. It was exactly the same as the pictures posted online. The stay was really nice and relaxing. We were there for 2 nights. Staff was so friendly. Charith, Suda and Imthias. They were so friendly and and helpful. Only thing I have to mention is, they pre set the breakfast but still ask for our preference.when we request something it is not there in the meal. It is bit disappointing.if the meal is planned already, they shouldn't have ask for our preferences. Apart from that, everything else was amazing.we enjoyed the stay to the max.
Stayed this lovely place two nights and from reservation point to checkout, service was excellent. Friendly staff who were attentive. Location is beautifully surrounded by tea fields. Cozy and calm. Breakfast was not the fanciest but was satisfying with taste. Only downside is the by road that leads to this property which in bad shape especially at the starting point from main road. If your vehicle's ground clearance is not much, you have to be careful. Otherwise no issue.
Amazing.in everything. I have only a limited photo collection as I enjoyed the stay such that I forgot to take pics.delicious food
We had a great time in Nuwara Eliya’s “The Tea Garden”. The staff is very welcoming and so polite. The property has a beautiful view all over. Highly recommend this place
The only plus for this place is the very polite and helpful staff. The place needs some basic repairs, the curtains from yellow are almost black and ripped, the place is very noisy, everyone can hear everyone, we could hear the people from downstairs snoring at night. We paid a nice amount of money that don't justify. The towels are grey instead of white.it has a nice arhitecture, a great position but that is all.
Traveled as a couple, we stayed two nights in the tea garden, which possibly could say hidden jem in the town, very clean and tidy place, bed and the linen are superb conditions, we loved most that bcz you won't feel any cold weather, all the staff are very kind and friendly, always standby for anything, nice location, surrounded by tea gardens, they serve Ceylon black tea with ginger biscuits as welcome drinks, with the first impression felt like we were at home, anyway behind all of these amal perera the manager of the hotel doing great job, big thanks for him, again thnx much for all the things for reasonable price, certainly will come back,
Very attentive lovely people but very much In need of a update.
Luxury curtainsverycomfetable bed (best so far). Shouldn't in my opion be classed a 3* hotel more a home stay/ hostel. But still good for 1night great walk into Town. For dinner but a lift back as the fog came down.
