Sacred place and very very beautiful temple!
This is a murugan temple very beautiful god statues can be seen there!
I'm in love with the Mahadev Statue, Ganesh and God Murugan Statues

It's really an amazing kovil with fascinating sculptures of hindu gods and it's environment is very peaceful

Though it is named as Madampe-Murugan Kovil, many people call it the Little Kataragama (පුංචි කතරගම) Temple. When I got in there, it was clear to me why people was calling like that. This cannot be compared to Kataragama. But this one also beautiful.
Inside of temple there is full of idols on walls and depicted as stories. The temple opens at 5 pm where in the pujari does puja with aaarati and there is rhythm of drums played during this time.
Photos can be taken only in limited areas. Not only Hindus, any other religion people are allow to visit this place. Parking area is available. Flower stalls are available near the kovil specially on Fridays but not sure about other days.

It’s situated in the border of Puttalam and Gampaha. The murugan statue reflects the Malaysian temple of lord murugan. It’s an religious, positive vibe area.

It's a wonderful place with big statues of Hindu Gods. Not too much crowd in there.

Guys This kovil Is Awesome. As a Hindu Devotees you should go here coz of the Structure of this kovil.

Gorgeous hindu temple speciality of this place is having huge statues of hindu gods with eye catching colours located in a natural surroundings.

The temple was clean and tidy. A nice and calm place for worship. Ample parking space available. Washroom facilities also available. A wonderful creation.
But there are some minus points to remind. It is a Murugan temple, hence the big Murugan statue is fine. But to have the statues of Hanuman and lord Ganapathi as such big gives minus points to the temple. Further to have a Hanuman statue in Murugan temple is not proper.

We trip for Munneshwaram but inbetween we found this temple. Nice, calm and beautiful with big Idols dedicated to lord Vishnu. I love idols of Dashawtaram and lord Vishnu laying on Shesnag. Must visit place for hindu devotees.

It reminds of of a fairground with the colourful statues and figures. The temple was closed because tourists were being respectful of not takin photos inside

Huge statutes make u feel like heaven on Earth. Divine and sculptures are amazing. On ur way to Colombo.never forget to stop here

While we were on our way to Chilaw (in Colombo - Chillaw Road) we saw a Hindu Kovil, it's very colorful.we wanted to see it inside, Because of its colorfulness. So we decided to stay a little longer there.

The temple was very colorful from the entrance. I can't believe my eyes, it's a really beautiful place. If you go there, you will definitely agree with me. Upon entering, there are five large statues. There had Goddeas Parvati Statue, Shiva Statue, Murugan Statue, Hanuman Statue and Ganesha Statue respectively. These are huge and beautiful statues. The Murugan Statue is similar to the Murugan Statue at Batu Caves Temple in Malaysia.

No photos allowed inside. But if you are going to Chilaw, definitely watch this place.

A beautiful Kovil (hindu temple) with huge statues done by well recognized artists. The place is still being expanded. This is said to be done by a single businessman who owns the Cafe and the Fuel Station next to the Kovil.

One of the murguan temple in sri lanka with a blend of Tamil and sinhala architecture. I was amazed seeing the beauty of this temple. A must see one for murgum devotees

I'll bet most people pass this temple up in there travels, but we found it quite beautiful. I gave it 4 stars because the ground was incredibly hot and you have remove your shoes
