Kumudu Valley Resort

The resort is located right next to the lake and beach.

We had lunch here after SUP boarding with Holger. Lunch was good, the portions were good for the cost.

We sat on the 3rd floor and the view was amazing.

They even have a really clean pool.

Kumudu Valley Resort is an amazing location in Negambo, Sri Lanka. Near Airport. Comfortable Luxuary rooms, authentic Sri Lanka cousine.

Kumudu Valley Resort 4 stars is ideally situated at Thaldeka Road, Nainamadama in Wayikkal in 1.1 km from the centre. It is ideally acceptable for a beach/seaside, nature/wildlife, spa/relax, family weekend. The most proximate Bandaranaike International Airport is placed in 15.4 km from the hotel.

A few words about rooms
For the best accommodation, guests can choose one of the 3 rooms in the resort. Guests can choose between different types of rooms: triple, double. In accommodation facilities are the safety deposit box, desk, free toiletries, minibar, telephone, refrigerator, clothes rack.
Here is a lot of rooms with garden view, pool view, view on the river and view on the lake.

Don’t sleep on this place we came here for lunch after having doing a waterski activity next door (highly recommend, check out my other review) and we were advised to eat here. They organized a whole table for us and brought us incredible food for our first day in Sri Lanka. The rice and curry was on point, and all for a decent price.

Staff were friendly and well mannered (as with everywhere in Sri Lanka, to be fair.

Totally would come back and eat here again if we’re around!

Kumudu weli is located by the river and Walking distance to the Beach of Sunset. This location has Several types of challets accommodating three beds ideally for families and, Separate 2 private villas available with a shared private Pool. Since the their Reception hall is by the pool, it won't be an ideal day out or spend the time if the reception hall is booked-Better to check with. They are well appointed on make up of the property and Food is Above average for the rates they are tagged with. Spacious Car Park available. We had a friend gathering in here having a very good time on BB basis.

Maybe this is a good hotel for a wedding reception. But the rooms are not in a standard. Old furnitures and appliances. Cleaning is not good. You can enjoy the nature around the hotel there is a beautiful river alongside. They can sure improve the room conditions

We visited for a staff event, service was good, staff was friendly but food taste was not to the expected level. Hope you guys will improve on that part.rooms were clean & surrounding were pampered ourselves.enjoyed a lot. Thank you guys. Recommended!

Fine &beautiful environment and can relax in cabana. There is a river passing near this hotel.

WOW! It was perfect! The staff was super friendly, food was delicious & the view was so so lovely. I can't recommend a stay there enough! Beach is only a few minutes away:)

Very friendly and welcoming staff, well maintained tropical garden, we loved the rooftop lounge overlooking the river and the Indian Ocean, great place to waterski and kitesurf, too

Very quiet place. Good natural environment with an adjoining river. Reasonable charges. Suitable for food and lodging

I was there with my family and few friends for a day outing and no words to say about the worst experience that we got. The food was un edible and the service was awfull. The manager of the place was Mr. Upali is don't know how to handle a complain and he was being very aggressive when we trying to make a complain. Advice is to never visit this place If u don't wanna waste Ur time and money

The atmosphere was pretty nice and calming but cant say the same about the food. Not a great experience

Simply superb calm place to enjoy meals with poolside restuarant.good service staff.friendly service with quick response.
Today we enjoy the SEA FOOD PLATTER with bechemel. Its so teste, because of sizzling seer fish. Little bit of expensive or the portion will need more sea food items to promote it in the society.

I spent two nights at Kumudu Valley and to be honest that is perfect and the Rooms are spotless. And to talk about foods they are super delicious and serves 1st class standered. The staff and the service is very active. And the place is breathtaking and beautiful. You must visit once. Highly recommended. If you are looking for a place to enjoy for a reasonable price.this is the place you must go. Thanks Kumudu Valley for making my vacation wonderful. ️

Very Good Place for Transit people, near Katunayake airport and beautiful River and lagoon area.

Good: Most features of a standard resort are available
Bad: Staff not service oriented, Kitchen staff would remove dessert items before the meal time is over (to reuse of course), Hôtel staff serve packets of meals from the buffet dedicated to customers (before the meal time is over)

There is a serious need for a change of attitude from the top level in management.

Good surroundings, even you can have an experience about jetsky rides, boat rides. Tasty well prepared meals.
