I recently stayed here for my vacation.a beautiful resort, a friendly and a warm host Mr Venu.being a solo traveller vacationing, Mr Venu and his team ensured I was taken care of well even in terms of my safety.the service is impeccable and the view from the lagoon is amazing. I will recommend this place to everyone travelling to kalpitiya.the location n accessibility is also very good.

Valamburi hotel is one of the famous hotels in srilanka. It is very rich in natural resources the water lagoon is also great for swimming from kids to adults. Everything from the welcome drink and lunch is amazing. The staff at the hotel treatedas warmly and served us food. It is great place for relaxing from young to old. As for us we happing spend our day at this hotel.

Due to the incredible reviews, my family of about 40+ people went to this resort for an overnight stay. It should suffice to say that it was the worst place I've ever stayed at. The washrooms had no drainage so some rooms had a mini pool on the floor of their bathrooms. It was unaccessible. The comods were broken and leaking and many rooms didn't have a proper lock/key. The staff was rude and the rooms weren't even ready 2 hours after our check in time. We were waiting in the hot sun without a room, this includes little children and babies. It was a waste of money. The bed in my room was broken and there was a giant flying cockroach inside. Further, many of us got rooms that are half a km away from the entrance. It's far from the pool and the pathway is uneven in addition to poor lighting. It was a horrible place to stay.

I have spent 5 nights and everything was perfect. Very nice and helpful staff, good food, nice Kitesurfing and a very lovely place with cute rooms.

I stayed at the Valampuri Kite Resort last week. It was a very bad experience. The behavior of the Staff was very bad. Occurrences of slipping into the Swimming pool were frequent. Check everything when allocate room. Ask for a checklist of item provided by resort.otherwise it will be charged from you. Rooms are terribly old and DIRTY. Broken shower, the bathroom smells awful, room is full of dust. BEDS are stained and sheets are smelly.
We found random underwear in the bathroom probably left by the last guest (they don’t even clean the rooms). No one will pick up the front desk, room service, or housekeeping phone. Pool water looks shady it just does not look right

your money is better spent elsewhere.

Calm and Peaceful place to stay in kalpitiya. You can enjoy with sunset in the evening through the lagoon.

An amazing place for a cool vacation
There are several activities and an outdoor pool. Can taste some Very delicious meals also.

The food was tasty but things like swimming pool was little formed with algae in the side walls of the swimming pool.the service was better.but the resort isn't clean.

The most beautiful place, the most peaceful place for the mind. Go to the family and the optimal place to get rid of.

I had a great experience at Valampuri Resort. All staff are very friendly and always willing to help. There are several activities such as kayaking, slackline, stand up paddle or kitesurfing (the most famous). Try the traditional Sinhalese food in the resort restaurant.is delicious. The place is very beautiful and the sunset from there is incredible.

I’m here comparing, last year I visited to Kitelantis

Visited recently and they have a nice atmosphere. Nice and creative sign boards, variety of food and beverages and so activities to do. They have a nice boat deck.overall good place, but can improve more on amenities, i think due to (covid19) less crowd some areas are not in order. Very reasonable prices and taste is OK, not much to say on that.

EveRything at Valampuri kite resort, kalpitiya was exceptional. Such a friendly staff. From the front desk members to the housekeeping staff and groundskeepers, they all know how to make the stay at Valampuri kite resort a memorable one. Specially Resort owner always made us feel welcome and enjoy cuisines to the best.
Our stay was absolutely awesome with peaceful environment.

Very scenic place situated just adjoining the lagoon.
Kite surfing sites are 5mins boat ride from resort.
Such beautifully made resort has not been maintained properly.
Insects big and small creep in all rooms and bathrooms.
They have a concept of open bathrooms, which is basically 9ft high cement walls with no roof, in some rooms those are bamboo walls. So what happens is due to high insect population in that area (and also frogs!) the bathrooms are filled with all kinds of flies and beetles and some frogs. Due to limited staff they dont take pains to maintain rooms.
Apart from that the resort is so scenic you would love to live outside your rooms instead of inside.
A budget friendly options for kite surfers who also love insects!

I stayed one night with my family & a family friend of mine. We book two wooden cabana prices very reasonable

Super stay at Valampuri! Reinu and his teams are super nice host and you feel sooo welcome! Jeevan and his kite team are really cool & friendly teachers! Had a blast with everyone on the water as well as at the bar in the evening I 100000% recommend! Thanks again Reinu!

Located next to Lagoon, this pace has an amazing deck constructed into the lagoon. Place is so peaceful. There are 3 kayaks you can do kayaking in the lagoon. Also perfect for drkne shots.
