Wellé Wadiya Beach Hotel and Restaurant

Had a wonderful time 2nd time around! We did notice the place had been renovated recently which is good and gives it an extra charm. Rooms were comfortable and we greatly appreciated the fridge, so hard to find ones that cools properly… staff were adorable, really really nice, friendly and helpful. Honestly good job, we will be back!

Initially booked 2 nights but extended our stay because we loved it so much. The staff here are so lovely and hospitable, they provided plenty of great suggestions and tips about the area, helped organise transport and were happy and careful to accommodate my boyfriend’s food allergy. And the food was SO GOOD. Some of the best we ate during our 6 week holiday around Sri Lanka. The chef whips up an absolute storm - had beautiful fresh traditional breakfast everyday, plus perfectly grilled tender seafood and other specialties like biriyani, khottu and fried rice. Hope to be back soon:)

Wonderful place in Kalpitiya, we stayed 2 nights, Our family enjoyed maximum. Beach was in front Of the hotel. Clean pool. Staff are very friendly.

Positives - Great location, big and clean rooms, relax and calm stay, food is delicious, clean beach (they clean their beach everyday). Kind staff.

Negatives - some of room views are covered from a big tree.so make sure to book a room with good view, Only suitable for couples.not for three or four member families.even though they say they will give extra beds for tripple rooms or family rooms those extra beds are bizarre and very uncomfortable. They add 10% for the total bill even for the room.

Information flow was very poor. Before arrival inquiry call communicated full board rate but at the departure told its half board. So we had to pay additional meal charges for our lunch which is not worth. Food was not that good. Communication very confuse. Good place but need proper management team.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are spotless & cleaned daily, food is good.sea food available. Staff is good, specially mr kithsiri.calm and relax beach.

Stayed there 3 nights. Nice airy balcony with views to the beach. Nice rooms, friendly host. Had to wait min. 90 min for dinner every night as he was going shopping for our food only ~45min after we placed the order.

Beautiful location right on the beach. The best part of the stay was the manager Luke who was very helpful, responsive and polite, making us feel welcomed and making our stay pleasant. These made up for the state of the facilities and food, which were average. It felt like this place has seen better days.

The staff was super rude. Had to contact the owner in order to make a reservation and he was living in UK! Hats off to the owner for trying to get things done from another country. The staff there literally told us that cant be bothered to serve locals. That was a eye opener!

Friendly staff but the place needs to be refurbished, the entire beach area was heavily polluted with plastics and other kind of rubbish's. It's a shame to see because it has potential.

Excellent serves.food is superb.the location is unbelievable.we came to Kalpitiya for the beach.but we wear given so much more.the people are absolutely wonderful.i was at the wella wadiea on the 3rd and the 4th of November the staff treated us so well and Mr Luke was so kind and friendly.he personally so to all our needs.keep up the good work guys we will be coming for a longer stay the next time

It's the prime spot in Kalpitiya. Beach front has a small pool and facing indian ocean. Fabulous beach and placid sea up until noon. Warm caretakers with good local information. Family friendly.

We stayed at welle wadiya for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach was right In front and they have a lovely, clean pool too. The staff were very warm and hospitable, rooms spacious and clean. I highly recommend this place.

It's a hidden gem! Just amazing! One of the best vacations I have ever had in there. We were there in March, so it was calm and nice. The beach is very near, and you can enjoy amazing sunsets. The food in this hotel is heavenly tasty! Everything we had was amazing. And the workers are so caring. You feel like you are at home. Highly recommended!

Great Experience Nice place right next to kalpitiya beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is great. They follow the Covid-19 guidelines after reopening for events.

We booked the entire place which perfectly for for 15 people and had one of the best experiences ever. Pool where next to it you can have a small party. Hammocks, fresh kurumba, extremely friendly staff and amazing food. Starry sky at night chilled out not crowded beach. Truly a paradise experience.

I got the feeling of warmth of traditional hospitality. They offered you the true untrodden beach and unpolluted environment. We enjoyed our stay plus relaxing our minds. Keep it up
