I was amazed at my own sense of relaxation and ease immediately upon arrival at the hotel and the surrounding property. Everything there is so beautiful, clean and kempt. The service is fantastic. The personnel, I think, can read minds knowing what I need or perhaps want often sooner than I did. The overall experience was deeply pleasurable and I recommend this place heartily.

My recent visit to Thoppu Biryani left me extremely dissatisfied, and I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience. The overall taste of the food was far from enjoyable, making it an unfortunate waste of both time and money.

I went for dinner and ordered the fried rice, only to find myself waiting for more than an hour. The prolonged wait time was already disheartening, but the real disappointment came when the dish was finally served. The fried rice appeared to be anything but fresh – it was cold, and the texture suggested the use of old rice. The lack of freshness significantly impacted the overall taste, leaving me regretful about my dining choice.

The subpar quality of the food, combined with the extended waiting period, made this visit to Thoppu Biryani a forgettable and unsatisfactory experience. I cannot recommend this establishment to others seeking a pleasant dining experience or quality cuisine.

Delicious food and reasonable price. One of the few places you can get local foods like parata and dosa in Arugam Bay area.
Mostly food does not have much spicy, but you can ask for make it spicy if you love the local taste.

Safe, professional and fun! Munchee took me to different spots during the week I spent with him so I could get the most of what Ahangama and surrounding coasts could offer. A great experience especially since this was my first time in Sri Lanka! 10/10 would recommend to anyone that wants to learn how to surf or improve their surfing skills. Munchee is a fantastic teacher and a good friend to have in and out of the water!

Just finished a glorious class at 1 world yoga, one of the best yoga classes I've been to. The teacher tailored the class for the participants and gave amazing advice on alignment, breath work and how to relate our physical practice to the spiritual and emotional one (in an accessible way). Would definitely recommend this wonderful class

Although many believe that it is the place where King Kavantissa and Goddess Viharamaha got married, there is still no accurate archaeological understanding of the real situation here. It seems that it is a Buddhist monastery complex consisting of several buildings including a Bodhigar, a standing statue, a stupa, and an uposatha gallery. It has a very special artistic value because it has a moon lamp with an elephant mounted on an elephant.
