Gal Oya Lake Club

I was amazed at my own sense of relaxation and ease immediately upon arrival at the hotel and the surrounding property. Everything there is so beautiful, clean and kempt. The service is fantastic. The personnel, I think, can read minds knowing what I need or perhaps want often sooner than I did. The overall experience was deeply pleasurable and I recommend this place heartily.

The Gal Oya Lake Club is a beautiful place to really relax and enjoy life. Everything is just right here. The service is amazing. Tea and coffee are served while watching the sunrise and the staff are often there before you even have the desire to do so. The food is absolutely top and the large, beautiful rooms leave nothing to be desired.

The most beautiful place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Located directly at a small lake. This villa only has two rooms which gives you the feeling you are at home. The host and his team are very friendly and spoiled us with their great service and great food. We have canoed on the lake and took a boat safari on the Gal Oya NP. A very peaceful safari compared to the crowds in Yala.

This is an amazing place in an under-visited part of the country. Excellent service, great food and elegant design make for a very special experience. Superb value too. We went out on their boat at sunset, which was beautiful and it’s perfectly located for the (somewhat rustic) boat trips in Gal Oya National Park to see elephants, birds and crocodiles on what has to be the most beautiful lake in the country (and that’s saying something!). Definitely we would love to return again.

We spent one night in this guest house. The rooms are exceptional, the service is prefect and the place unique.there are only 3 rooms, so we recommend you to book the rooms very early

I really need to thank all the Hotel Staff for the excellent service.we really enjoyed our visit. It was more than awesome! Such a beautiful and unique place. I absolutely loved everything about the villa and food. My family had a really good time.

Wow! What a surprise! After a difficult approach to Gal Oya Lake Club we could find the place only with help of map!
But then we entered a little paradise! Kind people, great staff, good food and drinks - and hard to believe - perfect Pizza.
But all was topped by incredible nature. Quiet but full of noice-wind in trees, waves on the lake and birds of all kinds, overtoned by the wild house peacock! The owner proposed a perfect sea safari, we saw many elephants, krokodils, buffalos and many birds.
Negative: we only booked 2 nights

Best place in Ampara district! Amazing property with 100 meter lake front, Kajaks and a pontoon to enjoy the sunset and the surrounding mountains while moving around.
Recommend to order a pizza in the restaurant near the lake!

We stayed at Gal Oya Lake Club for 3 days and we had a great time there.
Everything at Gal Oya Lake Club are carefully selected and very exclusive. The comfort in the rooms, on the terrace and at the pool are in top.
We had a very warm welcome, when we arrived, and we felt the hospitality, that is characteristic for Gal Oya Lake Club, immediately.
The staff did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. It was, as if they knew our least desire, before we did. There is a high level of service. The food is fantastic. And everybody is so kind and friendly.
The surroundings offers a lot of different activities and Dinesh -the owner - was very good at planning activities for us. Dinesh is very professional, and he knows a lot and is happy to share his knowledge. We were among other things on both Jeep Safari and boat Safari and had great benefit of his great knowledge.
If we come back to Srilanka we will certainly come back to Gal Oya Lake Club. There is a very special atmosphere full of kindness and dedication

The property and the rooms are really beautiful and modern. The pool are has a gorgeous view of the lake. It’s pretty isolated so you get to enjoy quiet evenings in nature.

3 Tage im Club = 3 Tage Paradies! Schöne, stylische Anlage direkt am See, mit aufmerksamer Crew. Elefantwatching per Boot, ein tolles, unvergeßliches Erlebnis! Sofort wieder!
