Hotel Arugambay Beach Inn

Amazing place run by a wonderful family. The location is great, right by the beach, perfect for sunset and sunrise. One more example of Sri Lankan people hospitality and friendship.

Very bad. Expensive, dirty and nothing to do with others in the area. The worst service we have received on our entire trip. Absolutely disgusting bathrooms

CAREFUL! If you want to enjoy your vacation DO NOT stay here. Inhuman treatment of the owner and his son. When I saw the room (disgusting) they did NOT let me take out my phone to take photos and send them to Booking so they could see why I refused to stay.

The driver we had hired for our entire trip fortunately knew the language because they do NOT speak English, so he was able to explain that the booking photos had nothing to do with the room where they wanted us to stay.

All the hotels we saw later on this same street were 100 times better and much cheaper

I do not recommend it. The service is very bad (the boss's son speaks a bit aggressive, and the boss does not speak English) I am very sorry for them because the area is very good but of all the accommodations we have been in it is the only one in which They have treated us very badly. In addition, the rooms are full of bugs and the slots in the doors allow everything to enter below. Being near the lake there are many mosquitoes.

Terrible place, room full with bugs, very hot rooms with no AC, they charge double prices for foods.

This place is a true gem in Arugam bay. Located at the end of the beach, I had a great time reading book, surfing and enjoying a spirit of this beautiful place, being away from busy crowds. The food was amazing and the coconuts were picked right from the palm tree. I have met some really cool people staying at this place and the Haroon was super helpful. You can also surf right on the beach in front of the hotel which was great! I will truly miss this place.

It's a beautiful place located in front of Arugambay beach. Have your own orderd food. Specially sea food Menus.

Rooms not all as pictured, our room had half of the lights working, so if you came back in the dark you had to find your way to the back of the room to turn them on! It was the same with the sockets, we were given a extension for the one that worked.

Overall if they spent some time and painted and tidied up it could be ok. They have a part of the property for dumping rubbish and tables lying on there sides. The deck chairs have no cushions and no sun shades.

I never knew they had a menu or sold drinks until i found a menu and asked!

It's advertised as a relaxing place far from the noisy party's, but on the lead up to our last night they had a massive sound system set up for a private party which ment we couldn't use the seating area or walk to the beach without going onto the main road!

Staff were nice. We left early and moved to a place across the road called surf and sand, it cost less and was much nicer.

Situated near the beach. Rooms are clean. Food provided when ordered.
