Bandarawela Hotel

The worst hotel I've ever been. Even not worth to give a single star. I personally not recommend this hotel to anyone. Last year we came here for our honeymoon stay. At least they hadn't given the room a bottle of water. Their customer service is not up to the satisfactory level, especially the people who are at the reception. They charge extra money to take photos inside the hotel premises and everything are over priced. But the chefs are nice and friendly.

We visited the restaurant, by far the best place to have a good meal in bandarawela. But nothing special about the place. It is ok.

Nice place, friendly staff and convenient to reach. No international buffet only Sri Lankan buffet they have. Food are tasty even though they have very limited selection.

Environment is nice. Health safety measures modest. Meals not that marvellous. Good for a catchup because in the city and parking abundant.

The food taste & quality is not good after covid!
Maybe there are no qualified chefs after covid!

Staff are friendly. But foods are not up to the standards. Rooms are with outdated equipments.
Actually its not worth for money which we paid. Not recommended.

We had lunch from this hotel. Foods were tasty and clean. Even chicken pieces felt fresh and good quality. Staff were quick and responsive. Can be recommended to have foods in bandarawela.

Colonial Property. Fantastic service and food. Starting from the GM, Chef and the rest of the staff were very caring and tended to our every need.

In the heart of Bandarawela town, it was not just another stop over whilst on the way to another destination, but a destination to visit and explore.

Would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

The best place in Bandarawela to go for a quality lunch or dinner. Their 5 course menu per person costs around LKR1800. Good customer service.

Nice quiet place that has plenty of old world charm (?)

Food is certainly nothing special but then it is probably one of the only spots in the region offering a nicer "hotel" ambience with fish and chips. Certainly worth a visit for a relaxing, simple meal.

Great atmosphere lovely scenically located in the heart of Bandarawella town. Great old colonial building brought to its old charm. Food could have been better for a reputed company like Aiken spence.

Very Good Service Quality. Friendly and helpful staff and very peaceful place to spend the holidays and most of all you get a very good night sleep and a pleasant environment as we recommend this place

It's a very grand and old lovely place still keeping old charm very much alive we experienced a very Good Service Quality and everything was very fine perfect to details like the Colonia era

This place needs renovations immidiatly
Not in a good shape right now, both infra and service are poor and this is kind of black mark for heritance hotels. When compairing last christmas to this day hotel service quality gone down badly. I never expect this from a heritance hotel. They dont even have many rooms with double beds. I booked three rooms and they failed to allocate a room with double bed, cant imagine what is the meanimg of this hotel, you better shutdown this if you cant deliver better service compaired to other heritance hotels. Not even recomending for room only.

The go to place in Bandarawela if you love a retro vibe. Lovely place with a long history. Specially the staff is very polite and kind, the quality of food is very good. They have perfectly preserved the old uniqueness of the place and still has the original taps and light switches, which is a very rare thing to see now days. All luggage is sterilized, body temperature is checked before you enter the hotel. However due to the Covid 19 situation they do not give driver accommodations. Rooms has clean towels packed separately and hot water is available also. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Food is great. Other facilities are nkt recommended.

But if you wanna get a feeling of old days, this is surely for you.

The food quality was very poor and the service was very poor and very slow we had to wait for 1 hour just to get our order.
It was a very bad experience and I do not recommended this place. A hotel like this should maintain their standards to match their High prices.

Really poor service it took around 45 minutes to deliver food after ordering. Food was not tasty at all. Had a really bad experience at the restaurant.

This place is really good place.food are provided by Buffett.rooms are provided with ac and attach bathroom.there are nearly 250 rooms.it is really nice place.

We got a great experience. When we checked in to the hotel, the Staff gave us a warm welcome with a hot tea. Then rooms were all colonial style. Rooms were all clean and nice. Food was delicious. Soup, Rice, curries to desserts, and all were superb.
