Serenite Ella

We stayed there 3-4 of this month. Staff is very friendly, meals are so delicious and affordable. Also the room is very comfortable and nice views. I recommend this highly and will visit there again.

Great place to visit and stay with nice hill view. Friendly staff witha great hospitality. Foods are also good. And in extra there is cyclical facilities also for who wish to travel theirown

Great place. Very clean and affordable. Larger rooms than most places in ella. Only down side is the view is not soo great.

Get a room with a view if you're going here. We spent hours chilling on our balcony taking in the amazing view, with a few visits by neighboring monkeys to keep things exciting.
Staff were courteous and helpful.
We only had breakfast which was good.
Besides the rooms, there are at least two public lounging spaces from where to enjoy the views. So even dropping in for a meal could be nice.
Away from the hustle but only a few minutes from town (LKR 300 tuktuk fare)
If I had to nitpick, there were a few details, like a malfunctioning wall-fan. Nothing that can't be ironed out.

Absolutely incredible. It is off the main strip, which is fantastic! It is quiet, clean, and the food was just so delicious. The prices were also right on point. Skip the main road and come up here!

Friendly staff, cool music, amazing views, clean, and scrumptious. What else do you want really? Perfection.

The place is Ok but a bit overpriced - breakfast is poor and they have a problem with keeping houses clean.
But the views and nature will make it up to you.

Amazing views, courteous staff & close to Ella town! This hotel has one of the best views - a view of the Kithal Ella Waterfall, the train running besides the waterfall and the mesmerising sunrise over the mountains. Quite close to Ella town as well - 20mnt walk. Best part is the staff and service. The team here is extremely courteous and friendly.

Wasn't too sure what to expect from this hotel so came in expecting not much. However, the location took my breath away! High up in the forest with a view of Little Adam's Peak, Ella Rock and a lovely waterfall seen from our balcony as well as the dining area.
The room was lovely and big with a four poster bed and mosquito net. The bathroom was more modern then I expected with a big shower and HUGE bath tub. The shower pressure was a little hit and miss which prevented us from trying to fill up the tub. It obviously had solar heaters for the water as you could see them on the roof. However, we didn't struggle to get hot water and it was consistent throughout. One down side to the location of the hotel meant that it would get very damp in the evening, especially after raining all afternoon. I may have felt it more because I was suffering with a head cold at the time, who knows!
We ordered breakfast each evening before with a choice of eggs and fruit juice. It didn't vary but it was still very tasty. Once night we decided to have dinner there instead of trekking down the hill in to town. Again, this had to be pre-ordered but was delicious and great value for money.
However, the highlight of our stay was the staff. They were lovely, very friendly and extremely helpful. They always had a map on hand to show you where to go and helped us arrange a nice reliable taxi to our next destination. Even helped us with our laundry, which turned out to be the cheapest and quickest we have experienced so far.
Would highly recommend anyone stay here, no matter what type of holiday you are on.

The hotel is a blend of nature and quality accommodation with all conveniences. Good food with high quality service by the team. Very peaceful atmosphere as the name suggests. Thumbs up!

Place offers you stunning views, calm and less noise than in the centre of Ella. Spacious rooms with nice balcony to rest and just stare on the mountains. Maybe it's little overpriced (as mentioned by someone else). The staff was helpful and very involved all the time. If you are seeking for peaceful place stay at Serenite.

Beautifully built eco friendly hotel, which you can find at a reasonable price in ella. Although the service is bit slow, they serve delicious meals. What we liked most here was the calm and quite surroundings. You can see breathtaking views from the main building of the hotel. Nice place in ella and worth for money.

Excellent stay with very warm hospitality. Ramesh went oit of the way to make us feel at home, provided info about travel, scooter for rent, pick up from colombo airport. Friendly and helpful staff! Definitely recommend for a week's stress busting holiday with great views! They even arranged for us to be dropped at our next destination and do a safari on the way. Totally worth it, will visit again.

Really serene place to sit and relax. The food for dinner was the best we've had in Sri Lanka so far. The owner is very kind and designed/built the whole place himself! Also there were monkeys.

Grandiose Aussicht, schön ruhig da ausserhalb des Dorfes (mit TukTuk wenige Minuten zu Fuss etwas weit), grosse Zimmer und grosses Bad, sehr reichhaltiges und vielfältiges Frühstück, Personal sehr hilfreich und freundlich. 4 Sterne da der Preis im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels aus unserer sicht etwas hoch ausfällt, sonst 5 Sterne. Definitiv weiterzuempfehlen)

Place is in the middle of a construction site with no proper entrance or lobby. Feels very unsafe. They took our 1 night's stay even though we did not stay there as we feared for our safety. Please do not stay here.
