The food tasted below average but surely is an expensive place.

There is nothing exciting about most down south venues anymore, built up and crowded, its just another restaurant most of the time. But Amal's villa throws and unexpected curved ball at you when you walk past their open air restaurant and on to the beach. This jungle beach is just great! A short walk thru the large mangroves and pandana plants, and then almost suddenly, the scenery opens up to the golden sandy beach. The beach is clean and well maintained by the hotel. The worn out wooded beach bar and the coconut branch thatched sun huts are rustic and romantic, appealing to anyone wanting to enjoy the essence of the sea, beach and it's elements. Food and beverage service to the beach adds a 10% higher percentage to the bill. This was my 3rd visit to the place. In comparison to the last, this time the food quantities were better. But for the price, it would've been better if the portions were bigger. So this was a let downer. Not having stayed in their rooms, I cannot comment. As far as fun factor goes, this beach spot is the best place to be on a hot day while enjoying a cool beer.

Went to the restaurant, great! The place is very nice, clean and tidy; waiters available and professional. Ordered mixed fried rice, grilled vegetables and a banana split. The rice was very good, I could feeling every ingredient. Vegetables and banana were good too. Pretty expensive but place and food very good.

Very bad experience. I had placed my order for food, which did not arrive at all.after checking with them twice I was told that I have cancelled my order! The waiters are rude n the food was below average!

We went there for massage which actually was ok! But everything else was disorganized, loud, people were talking around! Mosquitoes were biting us the whole time! The room didn't have curtains and the guys were looking into the window when I was naked.not good.when we finished the massage our next treatment wasn't ready, we were waiting for a while and after canceled it.
