First time solo traveler and completely loved it! The team is amazing, the location is great and it was so exciting to get on a board!

There’s a variety of activities from jungle tours to parties and barbecues, so everyone has something to choose from.

You definitely get to meet loads of people on this journey that become your friends and part of surf family

This is a really special place! I spent a week over Christmas here and had an incredible time. As others have said there's a really great vibe at this camp. A lot of that is down to the staff, who are super laid back and friendly, but I think it also helps that most guests join around the same time so you get the chance to get to know the other people properly and form friendships. There were plenty of opportunities to socialise but never did it feel forced so you always have the option of doing your own thing. The surf instruction is also great, the dorm accommodation clean and comfortable and the food is amazing. Would definitely recommend.

What an experience! Gota Dagua has a great team working together to make it the best experience for u! We stayed in the dorm rooms and they were cleaned everyday. Beds are comfy to have a good restful sleep after a surf day and other activities.

The ppl were amazing that we met. The food was one of the best parts, so much thought and effort goes into each dish. Family dinners were the best!

I had an amazing time at Gotadagua Surf Camp in Sri Lanka!
The Location was outstanding, the nearby beaches were beautiful and very close.
The Villa and Rooms were perfect—modern, clean, comfy rooms, and the staff were super attentive.

The food was outstanding, with a variety of dishes to suit everyone.

The management, coaches and hosts and the overall staff here are next level—they made me feel like family from the get-go. Always there to help, make you have the best time and create a super friendly vibe. When I injured myself, they took excellent care of me and made sure I never felt left out, even when I couldn't participate everywhere.

The activities were awesome and made you new experiences every day! You were able to explore the surroundings and have the best time. Meeting people from all over the world was also a highlight.

My time here was extraordinary!

I recently returned to the surf camp in Sri Lanka for the second time, having previously visited their camp in Portugal. It was an amazing experience that felt like being part of a welcoming and supportive family. The camp offered a wide range of activities, and I made great progress in surfing thanks to the skilled instructors. The location was stunning, with beautiful beaches and breathtaking sunsets. I highly recommend this surf camp for an unforgettable time. Can't wait to go back again!

I had the privilege of spending 10 days at the surf club of gota d'agua in Sri Lanka. It's a total package of fun activities, surf lessons and most importantly creating a close bond between all visitors and the team. The atmosphere was great every time. More than just a vacation, it was a life experience. Thanks for the great time!

We went for a 2 week surfing vacation to Sri Lanka. Our stay in the camp was originally planned for only the first 4 days, but finally we stayed the whole 2 weeks.

The scheduling with the surf lesson and surf session was really convenient for me as an beginner. Also the none-surfing activities were fun, from parties to a river safari. All activities were optional, so we created our experience as we liked. The parties in the evening were not in the camp, so it was possible to opt out from a party in order to be fit for an early surf session.

When we wanted to do day trips etc.on our own, we could just asked the staff and we got help and recommendations.
Our stay was a great experience.

And one of the best things was the dinner, the food was always amazing!

Amazing surf camp, great hosts, fantastic and helpful staff, delicious food (big up to Michael!), great vibes. Not too big so that you really get to know people and you get a customized experience. Morning yoga on the rooftop facing the jungle was so nice.

Gota Dagua surf camp is an amazing choice for anyone looking for a surfing experience. The location is stunning, the instructors are knowledgeable, and the accommodations are clean and comfortable. But what really sets this place apart is the attention to detail, especially from the friendly staff, who go above and beyond to ensure that guests have an unforgettable vacation. A special shoutout goes to the guys in the kitchen (Great dinners) and at the reception – they are the best!

I was only there for 2 nights, but I had a great stay at the camp! The house is super modern and chill, the beach is just across the street and they have activities planned for every day so you get to know the other people easily:) The staff was super accommodating and Casper & Miguel were fun to hang out with.
Will definitely visit again when in Sri Lanka!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience at gota dagua, from the super friendly local staff with excellent food and welcoming nature, to the High quality finish and cleanliness of the rooms and communal areas.it really exceeded my expectations.

I also turned up with a knee injury and was unable to Surf, yet the management, surf coaches and social hosts never let me feel left out or bored and always made me feel part of the camp.

I would recommend this place for the friendliness and the hard work nature of the people running it alone.

We have sent our two sons to the Gota Dagua family for the past year so that they could take a break from their busy lives. The eldest son met this group of very nice people in their surf house in Portugal, Caparica. Then they went on an adventure together in the new accommodation of Gota Dagua in Sri Lanka, Ahangama. They both had the time of their lives here and were very well taken care of. In addition to surfing, there is room for fun and games, pleasant chats, good food, fun excursions and the occasional cool party. We are very happy that all this happened in a very family, warm and safe environment with the necessary guidance. We are therefore very grateful to the Gota Dagua family for this and are already looking forward to our stay in Portugal this summer to get to know these pleasant people ourselves. Much respect for the efforts, you can ALL be proud of the result. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GOTA DAGUA! C ya soon.

Me and my partner spent here 2 amazing weeks: by doing yoga, surfing and working (we worked remotely). We met so many amazing people: hosts, staff, guests and even neighbors

Room was clean, we had AC and Fan. WIFI was good, we were able to work, have video calls and all of that with an amazing view on rooftop
Staff was amazing, pool is refreshing, food was delicious. We have a very specific diet, and hosts adapted to our preferences, so we never have been hungry, moreover, food was high quality

Yoga - is amazing experience with awesome instructor for any level on rooftop? ‍️
Surfing - just top, instructors and spots are just cool, and I believe, after first week anyone can surf with such good guidance

By staying here, you will never feel like you are lost. All staff always ready to help you with anything: transfer, recommendations where to change money or buy a sim card, as well as regarding any type of tourist activity, additionally to what camp has to offer

During the whole stay you feel like you are part of the big family, everyone is caring and supportive and of course, you are having a lot of fun, because social host doesn’t give you even a chance to get bored

After spending 5 weeks at the Surfcamp in Sri Lanka I can tell you: it is AMAZING! From the location, the rooms, to the food, the staff and the waves. I love the vibe of the group and the schedule we have every week. We also did many activities in the surroundings such as a tea plantation visit and a river safari tour (which are completely optional during your stay).

I think the best part is how I fell at home in another place which is so far from home. Absolutely loved it!

Oh and don't worry about the power outage or electricity breaks, the camp has a generator and it is well communicated when there will be one.
I had a combination of working and holidays. I can't wait to go back there!

Although we initially planned to stay just six days we ended up staying for ten and enjoying every single one of them! I travelled Sri Lanka with four friends and our stay at Gota was definitely a highlight.
The family spirit of Gota dAgua is something I haven’t seen in other surf camps around the globe. You will enojy great surf with great teachers, fun activities, going out to nice cafés and thus forming bonds with all other guests and the Gota staff and if you want to go crazy in the surfer-nightlife around Ahangama. Their concept seems to always attract a lot ot nice guests:)
The camp itself is super nice and clean. Food is prepared every day fresh and is amazing. The schedule of activities fits well for beginners as well as intermediate surfers. Of course there will always be enough space to make your vacation your indiviual dream – I went scuba diving for example.
What I like especially is that the intermediate surf spots are close to the camp as well (5min tuktuk) which can be annoying when staying in Unawatuna or Weligama.
