Holiday Inn Unawatuna

An excellent option for a vacation. The rooms are small, but quite suitable for spending the night, changing clothes and taking a shower. There is a comfortable large veranda on the third floor, perfect for sitting in the evening and chatting. The location along the road may be a bit noisy, but inside the room the noise is not a nuisance. You can reach the shore in a few minutes. A little further down the road is the only liquor store in Unawatuna. For those who need it, this is a very important advantage). 50 meters along the road in the opposite direction there is the best Golden Era pizzeria in the village.
The hotel is recommended for adult travelers who have a good idea of ​​where and why they came.

The first impression of the hotel is not very good, but after a short stay in this place you become immersed in the local flavor, thanks to the staff and atmosphere, which is very exotic in Sri Lanka! I recommend it for an inexpensive holiday and pleasant impressions.

Away from the beach
It is not recommended to live in a room without air conditioning. The musty smell is strong. I traveled in Sri Lanka for 22 days. I suffered from insomnia for two consecutive days. The mattress was too thin and deformed.

Good beach side for relax your mind. And one of the most tourist attraction place in Sri Lanka. Unawatuna Beach having wider view of land and sea area. Surfing, diving, boat riding, fishing and many activity allow this area. There are many star class hotels, restaurant, cabana and villas in this place.

Planned to stay at this place, the price is adequate. We looked at the rooms, it smelled very strongly of dampness and mold, there was a road nearby - very noisy.

Very friendly owner cater your requirements. Rooms are clean, walk to beach, few cafes and a bottle shop nearby.

Good location for buses and beach. Our only downside was our room was on main road so very noisy, we didn't ask to change room as was only there a short time.
Host was helpful.
