Hotel Flower Garden

Very bad place, just wanted to leave. There was insects (lizard on bed, cockroaches, spiders, mosquitoes.) in the room, towels bedsheets were small and had wet smell, room smelt bad, refrigerator wasn't working and smelt bad, can lock the door inside only using the key and open it from inside with key no other lock, room floor remains wet all day with mositure (really annoying feel), there would be 2 very big dogs of the hotel roaming around, which smells bad and would surely makes those afraid of dogs frightened. Wifi is not provided in the room. Overall hated the place, please dont get into a good opinion of it by seeing their photos in the internet. I now feel the good reviews submitted before may be paid.

The place is good. But everything was ruined by the incident with a rat that chewed up the suitcase. The hotel didn’t even apologize

Room was pretty ok, they have TV but not working, and the breakfast is supposed to be at 8.00am and we were waitfor so long even at 10.00am we didn't get it, and we had to come out for the breakfast. Not worth for the money. Worst hotel ever. Very poor management and service

After 40 minutes of waiting of breakfast there was only coffee ready. Extremely slow stuff. Rooms are dark, only one window, old furniture creeks and wobbles and (attention) NO WIFI at all (weak signal in lobby), but there is a TV set Bed linen is old, tired and always wet. The only advantage, in my opinion, are two unusual swimming pools, which, however, rarely cleaned.

Rooms, pool and foods are perfect.but the customer service is not good.there are some water issues also.

Cabanas are good, clean with jacuzzi bath tub. But service is far too slow. Rooms were not ready even till 5pm in the evening. We waited 1 hr at the reception. Property is decent and gorgeous but not maintained. After long wait we got our super deluxe cabanas. You need to check properly coz toiletries, water bottle, bath tub drain plug were missing and had to go to reception every time as there's no intercom. Even for breakfast we had to wait 1 hour.

Average place. Pool is good. Service is not good. No phone in the room. No wifi in rooms. Room was super far from reception/ pool/ hotel restaurant. In fact our room was across the road in a different building. Plenty of mosquitoes.
Supplies (soap, shampoo, etc.) were missing in the room. For everything we had to walk to the reception and ask explicitly.

Still ok place. Now days only problem is they don't serve any food between 11-17 a clock. Maybe not enough cook's or something.

Went to eat here, but no food at all. Only drinks.

Worst service ever I had. Not recommend for holiday. Hot water showers and bath tubs not working properly. Spend 2 hours to take breakfast. Not recommend at all time.

Great hotel, good food, very friendly staff, unfortunately stayed there whilst the bombs went off so had a curfew, but were really looked after which must have been difficult for the Sri Lankan staff

A pretty nice hotel. The food wasn't too bad. Some parts of the hotel are newer than others. I stayed in a fairly old room which is was good enough but could do with modernisation.

They said we could use the pool here without a charge if ordered food and then they charged us for food at the end! The food is always delayed for a long time and the staff is never around for order or even just to get the menu or bill

Do not be put off by the side street entrance. This is a great hotel, albeit with the modest facilities you come to expect in Sri Lanka. My family stayed in a cabana. Very clean, nice food and friendly staff at a reasonable price. Sorry to leave after a week. Would go back any time.

Flower Garden is a fantastic Hotel to visit a superb location with a menu to suit all tastes and cooked to perfection

The room i got is not spacious. Few power sockets are working and some mosquitoes were there. Otherwise its a compact beautiful hotel. And also they have a very good breakfast buffet free for every guest.

It's a nice quiet place very friendly and beautiful 3 pools nice staff and nice food rooms are ok

No wifi and no TV.the staff was good and cooperative, i think the management should put in some efforts.

Beautiful hotel. So relaxing. Every single staff member was extremely well trained, polite and very friendly. Had 2 weeks here and it was the best holiday I've ever had. Ten minutes stroll down to the beach via the local shops and restaurants. The hotel serves food which is excellent quality. We had a deluxe cabana and it's definitely worth paying the slight extra for one.

Not very good standard of cleanliness. Pools not safe with lots of broken and missing tiles. My son got small cut on his toe and I met another guest who had a more serious cut on his foot. Staff seemed uninterested when this was reported. Food was nice enough
