The Pasta Factory reviews
32Good. Not amazing, but for Sri Lanka (or anywhere in South Asia), it certainly scratched the itch. The tomatoes in the caprese weren't full ripe, but it was still tasty. The ravioli with bolognese was nice, but some of the raviolis were undercooked (and I like my pasta al denti). I would happily go back, but it could be a touch better.
Quaint atmosphere, friendly staff, the veg lasagne was poor. It came out quick, I suppose it could have been grilled but it looked reheated. I know it's the fort, but Rs 1900 for garlic bread (tasty) and lasagna that isn't good.
Great Italian at a decent price inside Galle Fort. They have a variety of homemade pastas - the tagliatelle was especially nice. Service was very good too.
Delicious, Slightly spicy ‘Italian Seafood Tagletelle’ excellent for the Sri Lankan palate. A Must try when in Galle. Warm host, excellent service.
Real home made taste.never tasted such good pasta in srilanka.staff was very friendly.i wish they open one branch in colombo too! Will visit again
Amazing food. Genuinely felt like I'd stepped into Italy in this beautiful resturaunt with handmade pasta and beautiful pasta dishes
The pasta was good and they have one of the best brownies i have ever try. The restaurant is very cozy and very easy to go if you are in galle fort
Best Penne in town or rather anywhere I have had them before. Both foreign and local friendly. The atmosphere is quite refreshing and the godly aroma of cooking is mouth watering. Apart from the pasta, the desserts are quite impressive as well.
The restaurant claims to serve fresh pasta 'made by Italians'. All our dishes were pre-cooked and then heated up in the microwave resulting in dry ravioli and dry lasagna. No alcohol served either. Very disappointing.
Nice food, we had bruschetta, ravioli and carbonara. We wanted just a crepe with ice without Nutella for dessert, but the waiter said it was not possible. We did not understand why though, as they did have ice cream, so to us the service could be better in that regard or at least explain why something is not possible.
But the owner herself asked guests about the food to make sure everyone are enjoying their meal, which was great.
Ordered ravioli spinach and ravioli bolognese, tiramisu and nougat parfait to finish with some coffee with cream and everything was spot on! The only negative thing is that I do not know when I will be able to find such good raviolis. Highly recommend this place if you are looking to get something else than local food!
