Yaya Kabalana

We came for a drink and ordered the mojito jug. It was delicious. We then ordered some food. The poke bowl (tuna and tofu) and the veggie burger. All the food was great and the portions were big enough. The waiter was super kind and mindful. Had a great evening. Can recommend!

Came upon this hidden gem while out hunting for potential breakfast locations. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with huge wide smiles by the staff and the cutest and chonkiest dog! Love it! The service was friendly, polite, warm and overall excellent! The food? Fantastic! We had the banana pancakes and Kade paan with coconut sambol and dhal curry and it was so good we had to come back the next morning! Such a cute space with great food, great service and great vibes! What more could you want absolutely LOVE this place!

The quesadilla were also absolutely nice.
But not only the food also the people were super nice. It seemed like I lost my wallet on the way to the restaurant. I never got it back unfortunately but the people were suuuper caring and helpful!

Nice place with a tasty food, variety menu, nice coffee, but service…We were waiting for order more then hour, desserts brought before main dishes, other guests who came later got them’s orders before us. I wish to guys the best, but please try to be more attentively to your clients

Super nice food and atmosphere, went twice, one for dinner and once for lunch! Also did the Ice Bath Experience with coach Dani and it was outstanding, it also included lunch and meeting amazing people too. Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly place but took a loooooong time for food to come out. It’s been about 40 mins now and still waiting for food. There were only three of us entirely.
The place isn’t priced the best as there are other worthy places for the place. I also ordered their fresh juice which was 2/5.

This place is more expensive than any other breakfast place we have been at. The portions are very small but made ‚pretty‘ for like the influencer effect.we had to wait half an hour for a lousey smoothie bowl and a waffle.would not recommend

I love Yaya. It's one of the best restaurants around. The food is delicious, the owners Yaya and Shay are amazing people and make the place very cozy. It's also perfect for working.

Yaya & Shehan are lovely! Its always so nice to see them and have a coffee or fresh juice here. They have a great menu and the location is fantastic for early risers, surfers and anyone using it as a base for exploring the south coast/ area a bit more. The bus stand is literally 1 minute walk. The train station is less than 1km away and there are several other great restaurants, cafes, hotels and Kades (convenience shops) within a 50 to 500m radius.

Lovely small place, quiet and peaceful as it is not right at the main road. Great Food, many vegetarian options and the owners a young Sri Lankan couple are so friendly. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Options also for take away if needed Good coffee, always nice music and chilled vibe. Came here multiple times and can absolutely recommend!

Guys at Yaya are great. Beautiful terrace sat amongst the tree line with a light breeze, great food/drinks and some decent vibes for tunes. The perfect Hangout after a surf.

A wonderful and photography place! Beautiful lights in the night, perfect for some drinks. And delicious breakfast. We stayed there for the night and really enjoyed our time. The couple is super kind. We can only recommend sleeping there or at least have some food / drinks at this pretty place

Yaya Kabalana instantly makes you feel like your stepping into the jungle.

It has a beautiful garden and roof terrace and the food is delicious. A range of western and Sri Lankan dishes. The smoothie bowls are so tasty, along with the avacado toast.

The atmosphere is great along with the musif and the owners are super friendly.

When coming to Yayas restaurant, it’s like having breakfast/dinner at a friend’s place. They designed the restaurant/cafe with great attention to details and the rooftop makes you feel like sitting in the jungle. I loved the food there: starting from the porridge and smoothie bowl (with good coffee) for breakfast to rice and curry (plus cool Lion beer) for dinner. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Nice chillout spot. Close to a nice surf beach. Good food and really nice host’. Very affordable:)
