Little Tamarind

We had a great stay at Little Tamarind. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the staff is really friendly and helpful.
It's just a few minutes walk to SilentBeach, which is beautiful!

We came in mid-December when there weren't many tourists yet and after an upgrade of the room to the panoramic one we had a great time. The view from the best rooms is beautiful, the rooms are large and with a veranda with a very beautiful view. The staff are very kind and work hard to make your stay unforgettable. The rooms are located a little outside Tangalle but very close to some fantastic beaches. Breakfast and laundry were also very good. We recommend the place if you want to enjoy a quiet and relaxed holiday. There are 2 very good restaurants nearby

Lovely hotel on a small hilltop between Unakuruwa and Silent beaches, both a few mins' walk either direction. Beautiful ocean views from the higher rooms, and fantastic bird-watching from the balcony at breakfast time each morning. Clean rooms; friendly and obliging staff. There was no AC (only a ceiling fan) in my room. Unakuruwa is a quiet alternative to the more built-up surfing spots of Hiriketiya and Unawatuna.

Well designed, peaceful, clean and amazing hotel. The location is perfect. The staff are super helpful and nice. I strongly recommend this hotel and will stay there again in my next trip.

Amazing place. The view, the staff, the attractions in the area, the rooms and the food. Everything was perfect. We were in August 2023 for two weeks at the hotel, a family (2 adults + 2 children) and it was excellent and a great price
We are back now, a family (2 adults + 2 children) the hotel is lovely, lovely. Close to everything (2 minute walk to 2 different and magical beaches). We were there for two weeks and from there we went on day trips in the area and there are lots of them. The staff is amazing, a small boutique hotel at a high level, we were pleasantly surprised in relation to the low cost. Highly recommended

Little Tamarind is a hidden piece of heaven! The place is located just a few minutes from both a surfing beach on one side, and the beautiful Silent beach on the other.
The rooms where beutifully designed, spacious and comfortable, with relaxing green view to nature surounding the place. Breakfast was the best we had during our one month stay in Sri Lanka and the staff was extremely helpful. We hope to come back here as soon as possible.

The view from our room was such a delight to wake to and the atmosphere in the hotel was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Especially recommend joining the sap tour - a really unique and beautiful experience.

Geplant waren 2 Übernachtungen im "little house", welches super schön, ruhig und sauber war. Haben dann einen Blick auf die luxuriösen mini suiten geworfen und uns dazu entschlossen dort weitere 5 Nächte zu verbringen um einfach zu entspannen. Der Strand ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Das Sri Lanka Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und die Aussicht ist traumhaft schön! Sunny der Hotelmanager und sein Team waren sehr engagiert und freundlich. Sie haben ein tolles Yoga Deck, welches zur freien Benutzung steht. Auf Anfrage bieten sie auch einen preiswerten Laundry Service an. Sehr empfehlenswert für einen entspannten und ruhigen Aufenthalt!

The best place to stay. 5 min walking to the beach, very nice riff. The team of the hottel is excellent! The food is delicious. We had perfect time!

Everything was just great! 2min to my favorite beach, a really nice and big room with an amazing view from the balcony and lots of nature to look at and listen to.
My other favorite part was the friendly staff and the very good food (breakfast and dinner). Thank you so much, also for helping me organize my tuktuk tour:)

Great villa, wonderful views, friendly staff, incredible place to visit. It takes 3 minutes to got to the most beautiful beach. I would recommend this villa to all️

Pastoral corner in the heart of the jungle, beautiful sea views from every spot, spacious and cozy rooms and courteous staff. The atmosphere in the hotel creates a real disconnect from "reality" and allows a close connection to nature. The beaches that are close to the hotel (three minutes walk) are perhaps the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka.highly recommended.

You know the feeling where you just want to forget everything and reconnect to yourself through nature? Well this is the place, the site is beautiful rooms are comfy and accommodating, the staff where polite and very helpful making the place feel like family.this hotel is the place to be!

One of the best place to stay for a week and it has beautiful beaches around. The beaches is not so touristic.

Came for 10 days with wife and three kids 11,9,5. All had a great time. We were hosted by Sunny the hotel manager and treated like kings with a great breakfast and some kids treats like milkshake banana shakes and fruit platter (all for a mild cost of course and kids felt like heaven). Enjoyed the jungle feeling and 24/7 breeze above the tree tops. Great 2 secluded beaches around. You have to try and Devilled prawns in the silent beach and surf with Tilak in the fisherman bay.will come back for sure.

Amazing views and sounds of the sea, peace and quiet, spacious rooms and good food. Silent beach was tranquil and people kind. Highly reccommended. A peacock visited our balcony!

Finding this gem was the best part of our trip! What an amazing place to stay at, so quite and relaxIng.
Probably the best view we could ask for. Request the Panoramic Suite, you won`t regret it.
The staff were very kind and acomodating, and our breakfast was really delicious.

Definitly would recommend this place to whom ever is in south Sri Lanka and wish we get the chance to return some day in future travels.

Nice location and and friendly staff but poor management. It was just a lot of small things that took down the overall rating. The room was not cleaned during the day, our bathroom smelled bad, the curtain was broken, miscommunication etc.

A beautiful place in a beautiful spot. The room has amazing views, is private, clean, comfortable, and just perfect for a quiet, peaceful break from the usual busyness of life. Silent Beach, just down the road, is amazing. Fisherman's Bay at the other end of the road is perfect for swimming and a meal. We had such a lovely time here. The owners and staff were attentive, responsive and helpful. Thank you for having us!
