Bolgoda 360 Lake Resort

Unfortunately to say it wanst in the way it used to be. Looked like place is not well running maybe with the current economy its really difficult to run the place understandable. Prices are reasonable and they can adjust to your requirements as well.you can find all the thungs you needed near by the location as well as all the details can take from the front desk as well. They dont allow over nighy stay as they told us but can provide changing room facility. If you guys can tight up the place a little bit more i guess its gonna be a stunning place to be

Lackadaisical attitude of the management including of the owner spoiled the big moment for my daughter on 7th January 2023.
We reserved the location in early Oct 2022, highlighting the many deficiencies visible for rectification. These were documented and shared with the owner Mr D Soysa, who undertook to attend to these and also be personally present in Sri Lanka to ensure a smooth hassle free wedding.
Our numerous visits showed a very slow approach and complacency by Iresh, the Manager and as the function date approached our visit to the venue were frequent to ensure that all finer details were in place.
Our function was outdoors. Iresh assured back up arrangement with similar seating capacity indoors in case of an eventuality at the very outset.
However, not taking a chance with weather gods we arranged a Marquee to cover the garden area. It rained heavily on the day of the wedding with access to the marquee impossible due to flow of water from the gutters of the main building and marquee. Our request to arrange back up seating was not complied with despite the condition agreed at time of reservation. The wedding took place in virtual muddy condition in the garden.

Our checks on the past reviews showed the low Service quality. Mr Soysa and Iresh assured extra stewards to be at hand and this too was not fulfilled. - The low service quality continues unabated

We're highlighting the drawbacks for information of future users of this venue.
1) The deck on the jetty is wobbly with decayed rafters and
many not mounted/fixed.
2) Toilets are not clean with broken mirrors and hand bidets.
3) No proper lighting to the path leading to the hall.
4) No lights in the car park - A guest fell into an unprotected
drain.
5) Complimentary rooms not accessible, ill lit and in awful
condition
6) The garden sinks not cleaned after each function
7) The bar area is congested with broken furniture stored within
the precincts
8) Stewards disheveled with weird hair do and non standardized
uniform

Bolgoda 360 doesn't have capacity to cater to over 150 guests - Our function was for 250 guests.

9) Insufficient Plates and side dishes - Not uniform / different
sizes.
10) Insufficient wine glasses- various sizes/ designs
11) Insufficient shot glasses.
12) Insufficient cutlery.
13) The napkins/ serviettes are damp and emanates bad odour
14) Insufficient stewards at the Buffet table to replenish dishes.
15) Short of food items
16) Power supply not enough for live Band
17) Electricians are not available in an emergency.
18) Insufficient fuel for back up generator - Fuel was made
available at our insistence. We were informed by previous
day hosts of the gruel experience.

The biggest drawback and setback we faced.

* The Resort doesn't have designated place to fix marquee and
proper rain water management system.
* Back up seating was not provided inside the main hall.
* A box containing 50 wedding cakes went missing from the
hall and we ran short to serve every guest.
* The Manager and Assistant were not present to listen to our
complaints and seek services.
* No Banquet Manager or designated person at the Buffet.
* Designated furniture supplier for outdoor function requires
floral decorations contract as well to undertake our order.
* Electricians were not available to supply sufficient power for live performance of the Band.
* Ran short of main dishes.
* Security officer was drunk and harassing / foul mouthing
young girls- He was assaulted by a guest and stewards too.

In short. Bolgoda 360 is basking in the glory of others (Guests who have gone extra mile to make a success of the function without the tiniest support from the management)

The redeeming and favorable feedback - The food was tasty.

Been here for several weddings. Atmosphere is great! Works well for outdoor weddings because of the pier close to the lake and they have 2 banquet halls for indoor weddings.

Did attend a night function held at your place. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a wedding and what was extremely upsetting was that the couple truly didn't deserve any of it!: ' (
To whom it may concern, the staff was very unprofessional. To top that the rain made it even worse such that they had no idea at all as to what should be done and what not to. Extremely disappointed with the services.
All thanks to the wonderful decos that were done by a third party and the great music played, the day went just good!
The place has the potential to top up the list of hotels and boutiques with great views and ambience but someone has to work on that immediately, collectively!
PS: I had accidentally deleted the review I placed before:) Looking forward to visit the place again once everything's better and is just fine!

Please don’t ruin your special day having your wedding at Bolgoda 360. Food is terrible the service is absolutely horrible. They only had 4 waiters serving 260 guest and none of the waiters were any good.

The band had no power for 2 hours. The washrooms has no water.

I have been to many weddings Bolgoda 360 is by far the worst hotel.

You have to work as a Waiter, Cleaner, Electrician, Driver and many more. Never trust this place and staff.

Went for a night wedding function, outdoor.service was terrible.one cutlery set, one glass to all the drinks.wash room not clean.food is ok btw.and the place is nice.

Worst place I have ever been to a wedding. Staff was so unprofessional. No one knew what to do. I was thr main coordinator of one my friends weddings. These staff literally ruined the event. Most of the tables weren't served as we directed. We had to drag the waiters and point them out what to do. Best case is, since there was scheduled power cut we checked the operation of Gen and kept it standby. During the power cut we found that the receptionist has locked the generator room so that we had to break the pad lock. It cause around 14 minutes black out of the event. Food is not good. Not tasty.changing rooms are pathetic. If you want to ruin your wonderful day you can't take a rusk by selecting this place. I was totally exhausted after the wedding since I literally had to cover all the roles of waiters, managers, chefs, cleaners, barman etc. Please don't choose this place.

Food is tasty and served hot. Place is noisy. Have to use the wash room (toilet) to wash hands after taking meals. Particular wash room smelly too.

Not satisfied with the service. Water flawed into the hall on the day of our wedding. The walls were wet. Only few staff was there to serve and not impressed with the food either. This place was used to be a great place for both outdoor and indoor functions but now being wasted by the management.
