This is a government managed Rest House. Need I say anymore?

Had lunch. Very poor value for money and way overpriced.

Whilst the vegetables looked fresh and inviting, the seafood noodles arrived cold and required a treasure hunt to find the seafood. The processed cubes masquerading as pork in the sweet and sour dish was tasteless and underwhelming. The tiny prawns in the allegedly Szechuan prawn dish higlighted the poor value for money. The chef has some talent as his/her sauces were excellent. Unfortunately, they only had poor quality ingredients to work with.

The pool appears inviting until the kids from the swimming classes get in. The unhygienic practices and blowing of snotty noses into the water pose a significant health risk. Swim at your own peril.

But a great place to have drinks and relax after a visit to the Botanical gardens. Make sure you look after the car park attendant who stands in the hot sun and does a excellent job.

Only eaten here. Exquisite cuisine for snacks. We were passing through and had a spaghetti here and some sandwiches and noodles. Well cared for and good service.

The food is tasty and worth the price. The location is conveniently situated, making it easy to access, and there is plenty of parking space available. You can experience a different vibe. Overall, the service is very good.

Is a very good with Banquet Hall Facilities and with betteroptions for accommodation. As well as the Pub and Restaurant. Friendly service and reasonable pricing adds value addition to the service we receive

We went there for lunch buffet. Food was terrible but the staff was friendly.
I don't know about staying there but 'i won't recommend there for food'

We stopped here for both breakfast and lunch buffets. Lunch buffet was quite nice with tasty food. The venue is nice too. There are some historical portraits and equipments that can be found here.

Good banquet hall for wedding functions but not the best. Facilities and services could be improved. Foods was tasty and the decorations also fine.

Peradeniya Rest House aka Royal Rest House, Peradeniya is an old establishment in Kandy well known to many. Well located right opposite the Royal Botanical Garden is a very convenient place. It’s a fairly well maintained good place for anyone looking for a descent place to stay in Kandy. It also has facilities for receptions and meetings etc.

The reason I chose this place to stay because it is so close to the dental faculty and I had an exam to study for. Staff is friendly, they will make changes according to your requests. Room charges are bit high but affordable. Food is really good. I highly recommend the buffet.

Quite historical place. Perhaps the oldest hotel in Peradeniya. Had a coffee at the Royal Affairs Cafe. Not bad. Their hot chocolate is good as well.

Best place to stay and have receptions or weddings around peradeniya at affordable rate. Foods are delicious and service is good.

This is a very good hotel located at the Peradeniya city, Infront of the Peradeniya garden. There are few halls therefore more than one function can held. Tasty of foods is good when it compared with other hotels with same capacity. This is a good hotel. I recommend this.

This is a historical rest house which was earlier called පේරාදෙණිය තානායම (Peradeniya Thanayama). Lately some reception halls were added. A restaurant and a bar is there too. Lots of parking available. This is located facing Peradeniya Botanical Garden.

Excellent in Customer service. Foods are so delicious. There are many different kinds of food here. There's plenty of parking space here. Great place to have a little drink with friends. Exceptional!

Buffet lunch was super plus 2 singers individually entertained in a personal level every table there.

The hotel staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel also has a buffet style restaurant. The breakfast buffet serves traditional Sri-Lankan food and is very delicious. There is a swimming pool too. This is one of the best places to stay in the vicinity. It is also not very far from sight seeing places and University of Peradeniya.
