Horrible service. Had to wait ages to get something.
Toilets are terrible. Not cleaned or washed.
Doors have holes. Wouldn't recommend this place.

We had a wedding function there and had worst experience from the DJ. They provided the DJ and he was not there more than a hour. And had argument with photographer. Although he was ready with the thugs to attack the photographer. We have complained to the management and no results yet.

They used to have this huge burgers and club sandwiches about 4 years ago but not anymore. Just an average place to have lunch or dinner. They always had very slow service. The food is average. Prices are not high.

Not even remotely as royal as it sounds. Minibar could not be unlocked saying a previous guest had taken it, not enough power outlets (had to borrow a multi plug), tv remotes didnt have batteries, improvised an iron board with a piece of cloth, waiters at the buffet were staring as you were zoo animals.and the list goes on and on. Oversll worst hotel expierince ever. Only good thing was the kid for room service was nice and helpful.

Poor costumer service.i ordered rice for takeaway i had ti wait more than 45 minutes for get it.poor communication among the workers.if don't have anything to do, want to waste time go best place for that

Went with family for lunch buffet. Food was tasty and with good variety. No artificial additives included as we felt. Food was not oily, felt like home-made. Very peaceful and clean place. Washrooms were also decent.
Price was reasonable (Rs. 950/= per person, no hidden costs). Staff is friendly.
2 piece band was playing music in the background and they made our lunch so special.
Ample parking is available, but in peak hours it will be bit difficult to find a parking slot. Security guys will help with it.
As a whole, we can recommend this place for a decent family lunch out.

Bit messy. The buffet does not have many varieties. But they have a nice menu and a calypso band to entertain you.

Friendly staff.good ambience and close to the garden.but no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby.buffet food is monotonous.better to use the menu to order what you want.room cleaning is not the best either.never pay in advance.you will not get a refund in any case no matter the amount.

Terrible. The buffet was not at all upto standard. We did not know what we were eating as there were no indications as to what the dishes contained. The prawn crackers were all soggy. Should improve drastically

Awesome food. We went for the lunch buffet, there were lot of items and all were good. Service was great. Do try out the Wines, they are of nominal price and tastes good.
We had a mariachi band sing for us. It was a good experience and we loved the lunch.

It’s a nice small hotel close to the Peradeniya park.foods good but I got a lime juice, it was the most tasteless lime juice I ever had.

I ordered takeaway. Sandwiches and fruit salad. Had to wait for about 1 hour and still didn't get my order until I asked few times.
Fruit salad is very poor. I specifically said no apple. But I got a cup of apple. Very poor.

Foods are delicious. But after getting buffet lunch, all of them were suffered from a severe diarrhoea for days. Not recommend

One of the oldest rest house in the area. Very much famous and a popular place
for get togethers and wedding receptions.
Food and lodging is also quite good and prices are very reasonable.

Food was good (lunch), buffet menu but can order for an other preparation like a noodle.etc.price is reasonable. If there is a wedding function, parking may be limited.

It has been improved so much during last decade with much more facilities compared to my period in the University of Peradeniya from 1979 to 1989.

I was there to participate for a wedding function. The hall is large enough for more than 100 people but it was really hot inside the hall though it is said to be an "air conditioned"hall. The air conditions are not in good condition so that it is really uncomfortable to stay for continuous 3-4 hours. However food is delicious and nicely arranged. Wash rooms are not clean either and moreover most of them are not in the working conditions.

This is situated opposite botanical gardens. You can go for a buffet or order as per your wish.place has AC and non-AC area. Don't forget to visit getambe temple which is just 5 minutes walk from the rest. You can buy flowers etc too. The photo shows an area of getambe temple. Nice place to have a relaxed mind
