Spent one night in this beautiful quiet place with wonderful staff (specially Ilango) and five star level food. Nice place to lounge about and relax.

Our family had an incredible stay at The Plains in Ambewela, and it was a delightful experience overall. Nestled in the heart of Ambewela, this charming place offers a unique and memorable escape with cool climates and breathtaking mountain views. Mornings were serene, setting the perfect tone for relaxation. Special thanks to the staff, especially Seelan for their warmth and exceptional hospitality. The accommodations felt like a home away from home, with a cosy ambience catering to various preferences. The onsite restaurant served delectable dishes, and kid-friendly amenities made it perfect for families. The use of fresh vegetables from their garden added a unique touch to meals, enhancing the overall experience. In conclusion, The Plains exceeded expectations, offering comfort, natural beauty, outstanding hospitality, and authentic experiences. It's an ideal destination for a rejuvenating getaway. I have a suggestion for management: considering a proper heating system for rooms, as they get quite cold in the evening and morning. Apart from that, everything else was superb. Thanks!

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Plains Green Banglow in Ambewela. We had a wonderful time and were so impressed with the entire experience. The location was beautiful and peaceful, and the views of the surrounding hills and valleys were breathtaking.

The farm tour was a highlight of our stay. We were able to explore the grounds and learn about the local flora and fauna. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and we felt very welcome.

The construction of the Banglow was fascinating and eco-friendly. We were impressed with the attention to detail and the use of sustainable materials. All of the amenities were included, and we were able to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. We were able to enjoy a variety of local dishes, and the staff were always willing to accommodate our dietary needs.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at Plains Green Banglow. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was beautiful. We look forward to returning in the future!

Food was excellent and fresh, hospitality and environment are top notch, staff was super friendly.
However meal portions can be improved.
The road condition near the hotel is very bumpy. Be careful if you willing to drive a car which has low ground clearance.

We wanted to get away from busy life, have a relax time and we found the best place for it. Staff was super friendly and they are ready to help anytime. View and the climate is amazing. Peaceful environment where you can have a relaxed time. Highly recommended for a family. Food was also good and had an excellent time.

One of the best places to relax off of the hectic town vibe! The staff is excellent and on point. Hats off to Muru and Seelan for providing the best customer care possible. Food was also good and presented really well.
The rooms were spacious with glorious views of the mountain range.we stayed at the superior room on the bungalow.

Would recommend this place if you are looking to chill out in nuwaraeliya without the hassle of running up and down the town area. The road leading to plains is a bit bumpy but a car can easily drive through.

My gosh this place, writing this while having the most romantic dinner and the best service I have ever had. Me and my wifey is on our honeymoon and chief Muru and the team is doing their absolute best from the best very professional and friendly.

Food is on the next level. ️️ I just spent 4 hours here and almost 48 hours to go. They surprise us on an hourly basis ️️

Nice place to dine for 15 -20 people.good service, clean and friendly. Prices are little bit in higher side but affordable. 15 minutes away from Ambewela farm and you won't think there is such a place in this area.must visit place. Nice view. Better to inform earlier if you are going for dine in.

We had our lunch there and they made sri lankan style lunch for us. It was delicious. Mr.muru and all staff were super friendly and service was superb. The place also amazing. Highly recommended.

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during our honeymoon! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff, with a bouquet for my loving wife. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and Seelan & Elango was serving us for the whole stay there, they were allrounders doing restaurant service and housekeeping too ask anything they are soo willing to help. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.

The second day we had a good rest and relaxed ourselves because we were tired due to long travel. Special thanks to Mr. Nayana the Hotel Manager who helped us with our requests.we were upgraded to the next package and they served us a nice 4 course candlelight dinner on the sky lounge.food was excellent thanks goes to the two chefs.egg Benedict was fantastic.we were gifted with a souvenir with our initials engraved on a horseshoe. The room was lovely, super clean with most comfortable bed. I have ever slept on! And OMG love the comfy bed with bed warmers, bathroom super clean

Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect Mr. Nayana who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

Striking views, comfortable rooms, tasty food and most importantly, wonderful staff!
Some of the photos you may see on the net might be misleading, but that's not to say the views here are any inferior. Not all rooms have a lawn, but the shared spaces are splendid.
Location is convenient if you want to cover the ambewela farm and Horton Plains.
