Bicycle Rental

In view of the comments read, we were not keen on going to this bike rental company very well located just in front of the entrance to the site. And in the end, he gave us the same price as the smaller bike rental company who is stationed just in front of the bus stop a little further away who did not have the right bikes for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children of 7 to 10 years old), but who was very nice.
So we checked the tires well and for the rest of the condition it shouldn't be too difficult given the very low price all the same! So bike that squeals a little and brakes middle, but it goes very well for the few kms that they will cover almost flat on the site which can be visited very well by bike that we leave at the entrance of each vestige that can be visited on foot

I had a very bad experience. The bikes are in horrible condition, I forgot to check it and my bike is fully deflated after half an hour. Prices are expensive as well.

Be careful, you will be deducted here. The seller brazenly lies to get as much as possible for a rental bike. With all understanding for the difficult economic situation, it is really outrageous here. First, a utopian high price is mentioned. Then they claim that all the bikes here belong to him and that you won't get a different price anywhere. Then suddenly the price is only valid for two hours and you have to pay twice as much for the whole day.

I recommend getting a rental bike at the bus stop. That's closer to the museum where you buy the tickets anyway. And after returning you are directly at the bus or you can take a tuk tuk. The rental bike there only costs half as much.

We rented a bike here, not only that it was totally rickety and the brakes barely worked. We parked our TukTuk with the owner, he said he would take care of it. Danger! Later it was gone and the contents of our trunk were also stolen.

Dont take the bikes from here bikes are not good and super expensive, owner is cheater, we complaining about his bikes he didn't like it and taking our money.if your'e go to the here you cant come back with out taking his bike forcing not recamend for any one.bad place

Rented a bike here and it was a great choice, you can enjoy the ancient city much better than walking - the distances are quite long. Recommend it!

We rented 2 bikes here for 1000 lkr in total about a week ago. Maybe it's possible to pay less, but for us it was already a fair price. These aren't the best bikes you've seen, but for Sri Lankan standard they are very good and enough for a whole day trip. You can use them without any fear.
Use this spot, not any in the city centre, especially one near the museum. We firstly rented another bike near the museum and we were very disappointed, it was almost impossible to go with what we got and it also costed us 1000lkr for two bikes. Then we moved to this spot and realised that bicycles here are in a visibly better condition. Again, even if the people in the city centre offers you a bike aggressively, rent it here.
It is possible to get to this point from the gardens behind the museum, you don't have to return all way to the main road.
