Hurulu Eco Safari reviews
12We did the safari in the afternoon (from 1: 30 p.m. To 4: 30 p.m.). We saw elephant gatherings, it was magnificent. Only downside: a lot of jeeps around the elephants when they are in a group, it's a shame there are so many people:/
If you want to have great sightings of wild elephant herds this is the ideal park. Minneriya, kawudulla, girithale and hurulu eco park offers best.
We went to Hurulu eco park for the safari. We managed to see over 30 elephants. We had a great time.
Our criticism is the way the safari system is run. The jeeps should not interfere with the daily lives of these gorgeous animals. Instead there are way too many jeeps. When one driver spots elephants, all of the jeeps chase after the elephants, startling them sometimes.
While we are glad that we managed to catch these magnificent gentle giants, the safari industry must be regulated and revamped to make it more sustainable.
It's horrible. There is more 4*4 jeep than elephants. I've been in March and there should be enough elephants. A real deception of excursion. The government of Sri Lanka uses the natural parks to exploit tourists.nothing recommended
Hello, two days ago I was on safari and I strongly advise against this place because employees steal from tourists, I was robbed by an employee for 15,000 lka. I was alone on safari so I rented a jeep all for myself and there was me and the driver in it, everything was fine as long as at the end of the trip when we were coming back he told me to sit in front next to him I was surprised but I went and after a while we saw elephants and went back again but I forgot to take my backpack with me so my backpack stayed with the driver for 10 minutes when the trip ended I went to settle the bill right away with the driver, it turns out that I lost 15,000
. Employee Samir was unlucky because before the safari I changed money at the exchange office and went straight to the safari and didn't spend any money because the driver paid for me with whom I had to settle at the end, so the money disappeared from my backpack from the side pocket during the trip, this the employee should be fired from the vending machine I wonder how many tourists have been robbed there. During the trip he spoke very good English, but when I came back to explain the situation, he suddenly didn't understand English, Samir, you're glad I didn't call the police, how could you think that if you steal 15,000 or 50 euros, that the person who robbed you won't realize that it's gone pocket 15,000 or 50 euros? It's my fault that I forgot my backpack but that's no reason to show such people but now I know why you wanted me to sit in front next to you
The Hurulu Eco Safari is a popular wildlife safari experience located in the Hurulu Forest Reserve in Sri Lanka. The reserve is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, leopards, deer, monkeys, and many species of birds.
During the safari, visitors are taken on a jeep ride through the forest reserve, accompanied by a trained guide who will help them spot and identify the different species of wildlife. The safari is conducted in an eco-friendly manner to minimize the impact on the environment and the animals.
The best time to visit the Hurulu Eco Safari is from June to September when the dry season makes it easier to spot the animals. However, the safari can be enjoyed throughout the year.
If you are planning a visit to Sri Lanka and are interested in experiencing the country's unique wildlife, the Hurulu Eco Safari is definitely worth considering. Just remember to respect the natural environment and the animals, and follow the guidelines provided by your guide.
Amazing park if you want to spot some elephants! We saw 50 in total from 1 to herds from 15 with babies. Total 3h park ride, everything included we payed 22000 rupee with a jeep, guide and park entrance. Highly recommend this park if you want to spot elephants in the wild
Amazing experience - I expected to maybe see 1 or 2 elephants from a distance instead was treated to nearly 30. Couldn’t get much closer it was really amazing.
You will need a Safari Jeep for the cause. Only 08 people is allowed with an entrance ticket of 200 LKR per local adult. There is not very bio diversity and only Elephants and Peacocks can be seen. A larger area can see from the view point. I visited in December 2022, we spent about 2 hrs to find Elephants in many routes. Finally found a group of 10-15 elephants close to the main road.
Very beautyful environment. We saw few elephants in the park. Park is very wild when compared to other national park. And also we had a wonderful view from view point. We saw some elephants from view point.
The Entrance Ticket Is Too Expensive It Cost Around 500/- Per Head Just Elephants All Over It Doesn’t Worth For It
