Kamatha Eco Lodge

It was a quick drive from Colombo to Habarana. So many places to visit, from Dambulla Rock Temple, Sigiriya, Pidurangala Rock, Minneriya National Park, Eco Park and Kaudulla National Park.

My family and I stayed at Kamatha Eco Lodge for 4 days. The Eco Lodge was very comfortable. The food was Authentic Sri Lankan Cuisine and the Lodge gave us a whole Village experience. The food was excellent and tasty. The staff is very helpful, attentive and friendly.

Our Safari to Eco Park and Kaudulla National Park was super exciting. We were privileged to see more than 200 elephants gather in the month of August. The Safari Guide (Mr. Warner Oorloff) was very professional.

Our experience everyday was definitely a different experience at Kamatha Eco Lodge. This is a Must Do Trip In Sri Lanka.

Kept loosing power throughout the day it was worse at night had to sleep in darkness with mosquitoes buzzing around. Worth the price I guess could have been a better experience if they had stable power.

Had a super time at Kamatha. We did lunch and the owner Warner arranged a lovely dinner on a camping site run by him with an adventurous jeep ride getting back to Kamatha. It was once in a life time experience. We will sure go there again to experience more adventure which Warner has to offer.

The place is a total jungle vibe! If you are looking for an actual jungle adventure this place is the place to goooo! Awesome Sri lankan food and so much space to have loads of fun. Warner is an amazing host and easy to work with! It's not your 5 star hotel with a pool but it's your 5 star jungle experience! Kamatha is the place to experience Sri lankan village lifestyle. Their food is amazing and there are loads of activities to explore.

A great place with Super Sri Lankan food friendly staff and great ambiance if your looking to relax and have some 4x4 adventure this is the place, The Owner Warner is a great host who is very helpful. Our Jeep boys had an awesome time for the 3rd time now. We will definitely come again. The mud will wash off but the memories will last a lifetime.

Great place to spend time leisurely in a authentic village environment. Memorable stay with my family. Kids and wife enjoyed lot. Bicycle ride was excellent. 20 mins to Sigiriya and 1 hr drive to Polonnaruwa. Thanks warner for all the arrangement including Kids Bicycle.

Had an excellent stay at Kamatha. The decor, the ambiance, the location and the host made this a memorable experience. This place takes you right back in time, and right back to an authentic village experience in Srilanka.
Warner was a pleasure to meet. The booking process was smooth, and Warner was more than happy to provide us with knowledge of the area. I suggest anyone who visits to sit down and have a chat with Warner. He's been here for almost 3 decades, and he will gladly share his wealth of experience. All in all, a fantastic place to spend a few days at. Highly recommended.
