Levona Garden Resort

One of the most pleasant stay we've had. A real hidden gem that's well worth the journey. Absolutely restful, tranquil, and almost magical with firelies in the garden. The pool was a delight after a long day of sightseeing. The host family was extremely hospitable and caring. Can't say enough good things about this wonderful sanctuary disguised as a villa guesthouse!

Really nice and small family business, we can recommend it. The owner family is very friendly and helpful! You are hosted in small bungalows with good AC and a big terrace to relax within the beautiful hotel garden. The food (breakfast and dinner) is really delicious and homemade!

Not a real con, more a hint. The equipment of our bathroom was partly old, but everything was very clean!

Pool activity was really enjoyed.
Staff was good. Rooms are great and spacious. Great value to money.

This place was the best experience we had in Sri Lanka so far (in terms of the accommodation). We had a wonderful and clean room with A/C and cosy terrace with a garden view. The hospitality level was exceptional - the whole family took care of us very well. Each morning we had a traditional breakfast and the dinner was also delicious. Everything homemade by the mom. The son Dushlan also arranged for us a tuktuk driver for reasonable prices. Habarana is very strategic location to explore all of the beautiful sights nearby (Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Polonnaruwa). We would definitely come back if we had a chance. This place is highly recommended.

Amazing stay, beautiful, welcoming and smiling family! Clean and comfy rooms and nice breakfast! It was like staying in your own jungle heaven with all the greenery right outside your door. Loved it here and loved Dulshan and his family! Highly recommend them to anyone staying in Habarana

Lovely family run guest, set in the most beautiful tropical gardens. Lovely big bed, good air conditioning and WiFi. Fridge and kettle in room. Quiet location but few minutes walk to Habarana town.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner and his family were also very friendly and helpful. However, the food was absolutely horrible. Compared to the other places we stayed at during this holiday, this was the worst. The manager who booked us the place organized a safari 2 hours for 5,000LKR however, the following day we had a safari at Wilpathu for 5 hours 5,000LKR. The value we got for the price charged was not worth.

Nice little guesthouse off the busy main road. Room good, food could improve. Lovely gardens with lots of butterflies and flowers and areas to sit and enjoy looking at the garden. Double room with air conditioning and a fan, one chair and one luggage rack was comfortable. Bed long and a real double (not singles pushed together). Large bathroom with hot water and toiletries. Double room had a terrace with chairs and a table. Meals available at Levona. Our dinner of rice and curry was made as requested with spice and generous. Dishes we prefer keep being resupplied until we have had enough. Dessert of fruit salad was odd because of salt in the salad. Breakfast was not the Sri Lankan breakfast we like of rotti with dahl and coconut sambal but a fusion of western and local foods and a bit disappointing considering we asked for a Sri Lankan breakfast. More discussion of choices would have been preferred as we have been travelling in SL for four weeks now and know a lot of SL foods.

Levona Garden resort was our first overnight stay on our 14 days stay in Sri Lanka and it was so marvelous. Private room with bathroom is set in lovely house in the garden where you can sit on the terrace and look at butterflies, geckos, flowers and other fauna and flora. Whole family is so hearty, attentive, careful and nice to talk with. We ordered dinner - vegetables rice and curry- and you really feel like it was cooked by your mother ;) Breakfast was also yummy. Best hoppers ever. I reccommend you to stay here.

This is not a cold and unfriendly hotel. This is family.
Im not going to talk about price, location or cleanliness because you can find the positive comments on other reviews.

Seriously speaking, I travelled the world, but never found a place like that.
It’s not a 5 stars hotel, true, but I felt much better here than in some super expensive resorts

If you want to visit the culture triangle in Sri Lanka, or just Sigyria, I suggest you to spend a night here!

This resort is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful place to stay for a few days. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the well-kept and manicured garden including butterfly garden. The host will greet you and take you to a sitting area and bring you a welcome drink and likely have a short conversation to get to know you. The host family are all very kind and easy-going people and enjoy getting to know their guests. My room was great and the bed very comfortable. WIFI was great compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka. A traditional Sri Lankan breakfast will be in the dining area at a time of your choosing, very plentiful and tasty! If you want to hire a tuk tuk the hosts have reliable contacts, they will use to find you someone to attend to your needs and at the best price possible. Highly recommend this hotel!

Absolutely amazing stuff.we got a refreshing welcome drink, the son of the owner told us a lot about Sri Lanka history. The room was very clean! The best part was breakfast and dinner. The best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka during our 2 weeks traveling.

This is a quaint but gorgeous place. The family that runs it is so kind and thoughtful. The food is homemade and delicious. This is definitely the place to stay!
