My stay was very nice and comfortable. The family is nice and the food was good! And it's nearby the temple

I know it looks pretty bad from outside but the place was pretty decent for what you pay for. Caretaker was very friendly and super helpful.

The best place that you guys can find in polonnaruwa (guest houses). Owner is a nice gentlemen. Very helpful. Rooms are clean and neat. What else you can expect for this price. Convenient location next to the polonnaruwa clock tower.

Best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. So welcoming and hospitable. Great location just down the road from the museum and ruins. We used their bikes to get around. Great breakfast and some great local restaurants just around the corner. Highly recommended! You'll be missing out if you don't stay here.

Very clean and cosy place to stay. Breakfast was delicious. And the bedrooms on the first floor have nice terrace and view. I highly recommend.

Like the saying dont judge a book by its cover same goes for this place.
The room is well cozy and clean. Washroom is clean though the toilet seat is cracked. Owner is friendly guy and attend to all our needs.
Only drawback is there is no TV in the room.

We loved this place! Very friendly host. Sri Lankan breakfast were so amazing! From this time we eat a lot of pancakes with honey and coconut and we can't stop He also gave us a small presents and it was very cute and we appreciate it a lot! The location is right in ancient city. You can rent a bike right in the house and go to explore.

Sun Guest House is one of the most accommodating guest houses I’ve ever stayed in.   The place is close to the ancient city and several restaurants.   The rooms themselves are humble, but tidy and spotless.   Some rooms have effective air conditioning, while others have fans which cool the rooms.   The bathrooms are also clean.

 

Sumith and his family are the best hosts in Sri Lanka!   Sumith went above-and-beyond to make sure I was comfortable, offering me tea/coffee and bananas upon arrival.   His wife prepared me a feast for dinner, which was absolutely fantastic!   The breakfast was marvelous as well.

 

I would recommend anyone stay here, the guest house is a good fit for either families, couples, or solo travelers.   Sumith can accommodate anyone!

In this place we felt ourselves like in home, hosts were so friendly and hospitable. Guesthouse is situated close to the old city, it is very comfortable because you can easilly see all sights of Polonnaruwa. Wanna say big thank you to all the family for everything that you made for us, we appreciate every moment, conversation and so on. Also want to say big thank to Thisal and our hosts, you organized incredible safari for us!:) We applaud cooking skills of hostess. Breakfasts&dinners were delicious!
