Thambara Resort

I stayed at the hotel for the second time. It didn't feel like I am in a hotel at all. Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were clean. The owner and all the staff are amazing. I highly recommended this hotel for everyone.

Place is situated closer to the Kaduruwela town and buses and trains are easily accessible. Super markets and restaurants can be found within walking distance. Abhe uncle who manages the accommodation place is friendly and helpful. Room+washroom was clean and tidy. Wifi was available on the first day and package was over after my 3hrs long meeting (had a moderate internet speed). If anyone is going to work online there, that can be negotiated with the owner. Cost is worth.

The price is cheap but not fantastic according to the guesthouses near by. The room was clean, but the hosts were not really helpful comparing to the experiences we had before and after in Sri Lanka

Very nice and clean hotel for reasonable money. We truly rested, slept well, silence and peace reign in this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Polonaruwa Park is only 7 minutes away by bike. We visited this wonderful place, it was very interesting, we spent almost the whole day there.

I highly recommend this place. Me and my wife stayed with three elders and a two-year-old baby, and everyone was happied with their experience. It didn't feel like we were in rented rooms at all. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. It's definitely great value for the money.

Highly recommend. The wonderful place and great hospitality from the host Mr. Kasun. He is very polite person and appreciate excellent customer service. Also, very clean and comfortable rooms with clean bathrooms. We had a pleasant stay at this place and Everything was perfect.

Thambara resort located near the centre of the town of polonnaruwa which is very convenient to travel. Limited parking spaces, but a beautiful environment. Very clean and tiled A/C and non-A/C rooms. Service also excellent with friendly staff. Staff can help you with anything and care about their customers which is seen rarely in resorts. Foods can be arranged if you want and cooking was great there. I had a excellent experience.

A great place to stay in the Polonnaruwa area. It is located in the town itself and location is easily accessible. The prices are very reasonable and their facilities are very commendable for the price. Hot water and air conditioning is available and the staff will prepare you meals on demand as well. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our needs. Highly recommend this place.

Very good service. Also rooms were clean and tidy. We came to Polonnaruwa around 3 a.m. And they gave free transport to hotel from rail way station. And also the owner has a good first aid knowledge.

We decided to see our ancient city polonnaruwa and we were lucky to find Thambara Resort. This is a 7 star place with all aspects. Pleasant, friendly, Clean and extraordinary experience. We thank for Mr Priyantha and His wife Iresha creating and keeping this wonderful place for reasonable and where you find Restaurants and all you look for very close. You could also visit.

Priyantha (owner) was very helpful, If you want anything he is always there for you, very clean. We went by night 9.00. He came to Station and pick up and took to his rest house. Also next day he dropped to the bus stand on his own car. Very nice place.
