We also had dinner and lunch at the hotel, all excellent and all cooked by the owner of the house.
Ideal location for visiting Polonnaruwa.

The family is friendly, the rooms are nice, they have bicycles for rent and they can provide dinner/breakfast. Perfect place to stay in Polonnaruwa!

A very calm place.

The interior of the room is good. But under the beds are full of cobwebs. And It would be better if the floor was well mopped.

There is a sofa outside for each and every room, but the cat and dog in the house climb on them.

The bathroom is very nice and clean.

I booked a room. Everything was ok.
As I was walking down the street, I ran into the host who told me he had to change my room (the same one) due to a booking reservation. I was the only guest in the whole guest house. I gave him my keys and trusted him.
When I came back, 10K rupees were missing in my wallet.
I talked to him about it, obviously it's not him.
No compensation, nor commercial gesture.
Moreover, the room was not really clean.
I never saw the customers of the "booking reservation" who were supposed to come (my old room, just next door). No noise, no light, nothing.
Disappointed.

I had a very nice stay with my wife at Chamyla's family's house. The food was great and Chamyla and her family is doing her best for you to have a great stay and giving you tips for things to see around. The guesthouse is ideally located 500m from the Polonaruwa old ruins. They rent bycicles, which is the best way to discover the old ruins. The rooms are well equipped with AC and ceiling fan and the beds are big and comfortable. Bathroom is clean and nice. Great value for money! Bring a mosquito repellent though.

Very clean and tidy rooms, wash rooms. Owner is very friendly and helped lot for organizing the visits. Very valuable for the money. Highly recommended.

This is a great spot. Very peaceful, great breakfast, comfortable room, friendly owners and beautiful setting on rice paddies. Bring your mosquito repellent though.thanks.

It sure was a wonderful stay with a very hospitable host. The rooms were well equipped and we were provided with a wonderful breakfast of Sri Lankan food, pancake (sri lankan style) fruit juice and yogurt. It was very much worth the money.

I feel that they could make the surrounding a bit more presentable, though the rooms were in excellent shape, the dining area and the vicinity can do with a bit of tidying. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

Very friendly hosts and they guided us well in all the matters we asked. Breakfast and dinner were really good and dining area was nice right next to the rice fields. Not many restaurants in Polonnaruwa so we recommend to eat at the hotel.
