Great diving center. Experienced, knowledge and friendly instructors. I felt welcome and safe all the time. They are apparently the only diving center open in the off-season. So a great choice all the time.

My freinds and I came at to different time. I came last to the hotel separately. Staff wouldn't even let me in even though my friends tell them to let me in because I am the third person in the triple room. But the staff wouldn't let me in we have to call the owner and clear things up with him.

Such an amazing place! We have visited this restaurant multiple times and every visit was amazing! Kisho and his family are so sweet and hospitable and really made us feel at home. The food is really amazing and will be freshly made for you with so much love. Definately check this place out yourselves, you will not regret it!

A must visit place History lies dormant here from British period to Prabhakaran period.

It was realized that the sea tigers fought for 33 years by capitalizing on their courage, bravery and skills, with the technology standing up to any of the most modern sea creatures.

Washrooms are filthy and walkaway from car park is surrounded by little shops. Place is fully crowded in weekends and holidays.

Stale/bad quality processed food, the entire place smelled like damp and mildew and they didn’t offer delivery service when it was advertised.

Fort Fredrick (திருகோணமலை கோட்டை, ත්‍රිකුණාමලය බලකොටුව), also known as Trincomalee Fort or Fort of Triquillimale, is a fort built by the Portuguese at Trincomalee, Eastern Province, Sri Lanka, completed in 1624 CE, built on Swami Rock-Konamamalai from the debris of the world-famous ancient Hindu Koneswaram temple (Temple of a Thousand Pillars). The temple was destroyed by the Portuguese colonial Constantino de Sá de Noronha under Phillip III, occupier of the Jaffna kingdom and Malabar country on the island. On the Konamalai cape was also built a new village of Portuguese and Tamil people, 50 Portuguese soldiers and inside the fort, a church named after "Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe". The Fort of Triquillimale was dismantled and rebuilt by the Dutch in 1665, renamed Fort Fredrick.
Background
The fort in 1606

Several Hindu shrines in the Tamil country were destroyed during the occupation, particularly under Philip II, when Trincomalee became the scene of naval battles during Europe's Thirty Years' War. King Ethirimana Cinkam of the Jaffna kingdom had resisted a call by D. Jerónimo de Azevedo in 1612 to aid the latter in building a fortress in Trincomalee. The enterprise was abandoned. With the defeat of King Cankili II, all of the territory of the kingdom of Jaffna, comprising Trincomalee and Batticaloa, was assigned to the "spiritual cures of the Franciscans. " This decision was taken by the bishop of Cochin, fray Dom Sebastião de S. Pedro. By the end of 1619, a small Danish fleet had arrived at Trincomalee; in May 1620, the Danes occupied Koneswaram temple and began works for the fortification of the peninsula before being defeated

The rooms are very clean. Nishanthan and Rancy are great. Ensure a clean room every day and towels in beautiful birds or hearts on the bed. We also had our clothes washed here for a fair price. Nishant and Rancy have also taken care of this.

Upbeat city hotel with invitingly decorated and practically furnished rooms of a good and sufficient size. The beds are comfortable. A/C and hot water work perfectly. In the integrated restaurant you can eat very good local food at reasonable prices. You can tell that it's good by the influx of guests from out of town and the constant take away. It's 10-15 minutes to the beach by the sea. It's 3 minutes to have a sundowner at the lagoon. There are restaurants and shopping opportunities within a short distance.

Internet is available. Things are going great in the restaurant, but it's not very strong in the room.
